Seraphane, with all her glory and power, could not stop the gods from their final judgment. Although she did not fear them per say, shed id fear for the life of some one far greater then hers, someone who could influence so much more… her daughter. Her daughter though unbeknownst as a goddess to anyone but herself, her beautiful child with fair unblemished skin, she looked pictured her child just then, her beautiful baby girl with black vivacious locks of hair, and her bright wide cat green always wide and full of curiosity and wonderment. The little beauty known as Catalina. Seraphane smiled sadly as she thought of her lovely daughter. She must do something; she ran determinedly towards her room, arriving there in just moments, Catalina only four months old, laid inside a cradle on her mothers Dias playing with he small silver rattle. Seraphane scooped her up into her arms and held her close.
“Listen tome closely my little one. I love you so much, and I shall never leave you, I hope that you will never forget that your mother loved you with all of her being.” She whispered into her daughter’s tiny ear. Her daughter laid her head on her shoulder and sniffled as she began to cry as if she knew what was to happen. Seraphane laid her daughter into a intricately woven basket wrapping he up in spell casted blankets as well as a few spell casted jewels.
Seraphane chanted a prayer of protection and concealment over Catalina who whimpered and tried to wriggle from of her confines, she then grasped the amulet that had adorned her neck since she was but a babe not yet weaned from her mothers breast, and placed it around her own child’s neck hoping that it would grant her the same peace and serenity as it had throughout her life, it was also a means to confine young Catalina’s powers until a certain age. The gold chain hung loosely upon her throat, the lapis lazuli and silver colors swirling within the tear dropped shaped charm, creating a kaleidoscope of captivating and mesmerizing colors and beauty.
She Kissed Catalina upon the brow and placed her forehead against hers and whispered on more prayer.
“I shall always love you my little one. And once you come of age I will come to you and you will have nothing to fear.” Tears slowly fell from Seraphane’s eyes landing on the pendant that once adorned her neck, leaving behind a trail etched into it of a young woman. With that she stood the basket that held her daughter in her hands.
“It’s time we leave my sweet child.”
