A majority of Americans (57%) say they know only some of their neighbors; far fewer (26%) say they know most of them. Americans ages 65 and older are more likely than those ages 18 to 29 to say they know most of their neighbors (34% vs. 20%). In contrast, about a quarter (23%) of adults under 30 don't know any of their neighbors, compared with just 4% among those 65 and older.

"Come on, honey, you got this!"
"Almost done!"
You held a stopwatch as you watched your wife working on a small radio you bought for her. She was putting it together as fast as she could, every tick of the clock motivating her to go faster
She put her tools down and plugged the radio, messing with the dials until she got a sound out of it
Her: TIME!
You stopped the watch and looked at it, then showed it to her with a smile
You: Look at you! Fifteen seconds quicker!
She threw her hands in the air with a cheer, only for you to wrap your arms around her into a hug, which she eagerly fell into
You: You're getting better at this!
Her: I would've taken less of it weren't for those damn dials
She turned around to mess with them, only for The Turtles' Happy Together to quickly take over the room, earning a squeal from the girl
"And you say you belong to me, and ease my mind
Imagine how the world could be, so very fine
So happy together"Her: I love this one!
She grabbed your hands and dragged you along. You rolled your eyes with a smile before accepting fate. While the music played, you two danced along with glee, twirling around with one hand interlocked
The sunlight peaked through the curtains as you moved around with a smile. However, this jovial dance wasn't able to last long
The distinct sound of the doorbell caught your attention, making the dance abruptly come to an end. Understandably, this earned a whine from your partner
Her: This better be good
Her pouting got a chuckle out of you. You never knew if she was adorable on purpose or if it was just something that came naturally
You: I'll go see who it is really quick, then we can dance
You leaned down and gave her a quick peck on the lips, letting go of her hand to make your way to the door
When you did, however, you were met with an odd sight
It was a man in a green suit and a red bowtie. A face that you did not recognize, and you knew everyone here
His smile grew wide the moment he laid eyes on you
???: Well hello, young man!
You: Good morning. How can I help you?
He offered a hand, which you took without thinking much of it
???: My name is Samuel Garth, and I'm new in the neighborhood and I was wondering if you could help me out
You: With what?
He stepped aside to show you the moving truck, still unloading its contents
Samuel: Just helping me get my things out of the truck. I'd move them all in myself but I don't have the strength anymore
He chuckled at his own joke. Your wife approached the door shortly after, resting her hand against your chest as she looked at the stranger
Her: Who is he, darling?
