It was funny walking into class that day, watching my friends gape at me. They all looked so surprised. I smiled at Danni, winked as I walked past Luna. I blew a kiss to Bruno and took my regular seat next to Nicki. My smile was wide throughout the lesson. Anytime I addressed my friends their faces went pale. Their eyes were so wide I worried they might pop out of their skulls.
Once class was over they rushed out. My smile widened as I followed them. I caught up to them just as they were passing the world history classroom.
"Hey guys!" I said jubilantly. I grinned as they avoided my gaze. Leaning in closer, I watched the way they shook as I said; "what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."
