That thing was here again. I peeked out the window to see the sunset. What was it, and why is it following me? I ran outside with a sword, not one from my pocket dimension. I always kept an extra in my practice area, in case I can't use a sword from the pocket space anymore.  "Who's there?" I went further towards the forest, sword in hand.

Crack. I turned around. There it was again. Crack. Where was it going? I need to follow it. Snap. I could hear the noises of it breaking branching or crunching leaves. Why am I following it again? What will I do if I catch it? Crunch. At this point, I was far into the forest. No turning back. I kept on following it, keeping an eye out for it. Finally, I couldn't hear anything.

"Hey! Come out, don't be a coward!" I kept trying to find it, but it wouldn't show itself. Maybe I should just leave. That would be best. It was already late, and I have more training to do. I started to walk back from where I came from. Just then, I felt it. The pull I felt at Yumi's house that day. This time, I decided to follow it instead. Find the source of its power. As I followed the strange tug on my body, I felt weaker. More tired than I usually am after a full day. Soon, the pull on me started to get stronger.

I decided to start sprinting, till I reached a river. The pull led me towards the water. As I crept closer, the pull started to lessen. I looked into the water. I saw a stone. I think that was it. Mostly because it had strange runes on it. It looked, and felt, eerie. I was a greyish color, but had some white highlights. The runes were a pitch black color. A shiver went through my spine. What was it? Is this what was pulling me? But what was the blue thing? Before I could let another thought out, I looked down at my watch, to see its hands pointing to 11:24.

I ran to rush home, or my parents would end me. I ran as fast as I could, back where i came from. Through broken branches, over rocks, through bushes. Finally I had reached the house, to see the lights on. I would be in so much trouble. I opened the front door. I crept through the house, trying to escape to my room. I was too late.

My mom flicked on my bedroom lights. "So, your late. An hour and a half late." My mom looked at 2me with a worried, confused, and angry expression, all at the same time. "Listen I lost track of time. I was in my safe spot. She looked at me. I didn't know if she would buy it or not. "Oh, well when your father checked that little safe spot, you weren't there. Explain that."

"Okay, fine. I was at Yumi's."

"Nope, called and they said you were there all day."

    "I meant Damiens."

    "Called there too."

I admitted defeat, but would not tell her I went out in the forest. She hated me going there. "Fine, I was actually at the training ground." My mom just sighed. I think she bought it, because then she said, "I thought we said only to go there with somebody else. People can use there quirks there at any time." Well I mean you supposed to, its a training ground for quirks. I kept that thought to myself. Didn't wanna be in more trouble.

My dad got home, and I got grounded for a week. I could only visit Alira. No visits with friends. No devices. But mostly, zero training. I decided it wasn't the end of the world. I could still draw I guess. I swear moms know everything. I had totally forgotten about the stone in my pocket, which started to glow a little bit.
