...

I groaned as I slowly rose to my feet, the pounding headache still lingering like an unwelcome guest. My surroundings were shrouded in darkness, but I could faintly make out the sound of waves crashing against the shore. The nightmare...it was real. The boat had crashed, and Max... I shivered at the thought, forcing myself to focus on the present.

Coughing up water, I stumbled out of the small pond I had apparently become, my right leg protesting with each step. "What the hell?" I muttered, disbelief coloring my voice. Despite the pain and confusion, the fact remained that I was alive. Max's sacrifice, his attempt to save us both, had given my life purpose. I wouldn't let his sacrifice go in vain.

Limping towards the edge of the shore, I peered into the darkness, trying to discern my location. Was I on the island? The one they called ISA? The very thought sent chills down my spine. This was the place where everyone was sent to suffer, to be forgotten. My missing father, cast out here so long ago...I clenched my fists, anger and determination coursing through my veins.

With a deep breath, I stepped forward, my survival instincts kicking in. I would find my father and the answers I sought. I would uncover the secrets of this forsaken place. And in doing so, I would make sure Max's sacrifice was not in vain.

As I made my way towards the darkened forest, my limping gait a testament to the boat's brutal crash, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope flicker within me. My journey had just begun, but I refused to let these dark circumstances consume me. I would fight, both for my own survival and the ones I had lost.

And so, with determination burning in my veins, I pressed on into the unknown, ready to face whatever challenges this dark island held in store for me.

As I sat on the cold, damp stone, my body ached from exhaustion. The tropical forest, so unlike the scorching desert I grew up in, had drained my energy within hours. Gasping for breath in the humid air, I marveled at the sheer beauty of the island's nature. Never before had I seen so much green and life. It was as if the entire world had been reborn in vibrant hues.

Lost in my thoughts, I gradually drifted off into a deep sleep. But suddenly, I was jolted awake by the sound of a human voice echoing through the darkness. The mist slowly descended from the mountains, casting an eerie glow upon the surroundings. A chill ran down my spine as I strained to listen for any signs of danger.

Before long, the tranquility shattered as an animal's cry pierced the night. The predator had caught its prey, and I knew I had no time to waste. Heart pounding, I leapt to my feet, ready to run or fight for my life. The growling drew closer, blending with the encroaching mist, and I raced toward the nearest clearing, desperate to escape the unknown danger.

Running through the dense foliage, I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins. The ground beneath my feet was treacherous, threatening to trip me up at any moment. But I pushed on, my determination fueled by the memory of my missing father. I can't die just yet. I will find him first, no matter what it takes. The pain in my leg was a constant reminder of the harrowing experience.
