The sight of the pyramid was astonishing. For several reasons, this is going to be a dangerous exploration. There is much to learn, meaning there was information unknown about this territory, let alone not knowing why the station was abandoned back then, but Weyland is eager to explore.

"Okay, before we go forward, let me make this clear to everyone." Y/n called everyone's attention as they stood before them.

"Remember, this is an unknown pyramid, a spontaneous mission, or whatever you wanna call it, which means there could be unknown dangers." Y/n explained, which should be common sense, but there's people who are either careless, oblivious, or need to be reminded.

"Considering we are not properly trained and equipped for this, keep this in mind, because what could possibly go wrong in an ancient abandoned pyramid under ice? Anything. We don't know any history behind this until we get inside, there may be traps, and so on. I just ask that everyone be mindful of your environment, and be mindful of your safety first, then everyone else's. We can't help one another if we aren't protecting ourselves first. Got it?"

Y/n glances over everyone to see some nods, and others calling out that they got it.

Everyone ascended up the stairs, and y/n voluntarily stayed back to scout behind everyone. Y/n walks through the entrance treading carefully. Though it seemed if there was danger it would've been triggered, but it's possible it was missed, or was yet to be triggered.

As everyone is gazing around, Sebastian calls Thomas over by a wall etched in a specific language.

"I recognize the Egyptian..." Thomas was in awe.

Sebastian continues, "The second symbol is Aztec. Pre-conquest era. The third is Cambodian."

"Then you were right. The pyramid contains all three cultures." Weyland spoke up.

"That's what it looks like."

"You may choose to enter... Those who choose may enter." Thomas attempts to translate.

"Who taught you to translate?" Sebastian questions with a look of confusion.

"Funny. Kinda looked like you." Thomas joked, which got a smile from Lex, and you.

"Well, it's not "choose". It's "chosen". "Only the chosen ones may enter." Sebastian corrected, the atmosphere turned ominous.

Eventually everyone moved on entering a room.

"What is all this?"

"This is the sacrificial chamber." Sebastian said, and y/n's eyes shot over to him.

Jesus Christ.

"Like the Aztecs and the Egyptians. Whoever built this pyramid believed in ritual sacrifice." Sebastian continued to explain, being this is his expertise.

"This is where the chosen ones were offered to the gods. Those that were chosen would lie here. They weren't bound or tied in any way. They went to die willingly. Men and women. It was considered an honor."

"Lucky them." Lex said and y/n smirked amusingly.

"It's amazing." Y/n said.

"What is?" Lex looked at y/n.

"Civilization. Culture. Humans. We're a fascinating species." Y/n didn't go into further detail, but despite leaving a vague answer anyone with critical thinking skills could guess what you would mean. Though, maybe it's a conversation for later.

"They gave their lives so the hunt could begin."

The translation itself was enough to send chills down y/n's spine, or was it the cold? Though, it was kind of cheesy without context. There was nothing that came to mind about the purpose of a hunt, but humans are a barbaric species.
