"I wonder why these bubbles are following me and only me." Teruya asked out of seemingly nowhere as he and Yamato walked in their journey. "I don't know, maybe you have something going on with you that attracted the bubbles to you somehow...?" Yamato theorized, though his voice shows how unsure he is of it's certainty.
It is just a theory, after all.
"Maybe, but I don't really understand what's so special 'bout me to the point they're just....following me now." Teruya replied, putting a finger on his chin.
Suddenly, Teruya could hear sobs coming from a distance. "Yamato, do you hear that?" Teruya asked, turning his head to his new partner. "Hmm....Yeah, I think I heard something too. It sounded like someone crying." Yamato answered in a more serious tone than before.
Teruya then ran to find whoever is 'crying' right now, followed by Yamato, and of course, the bubbles. Teruya tried following the source of the sound. He could feel the more he tries to get to whoever it is, the sounds of crying gets even more closer to him.
Eventually, someone appears in his sight. A girl with purple hair that faded into a shade of pink, kneeled down on the ground, crying. Her sobs could be heard loudly and clearly from here. Teruya, who is now concerned, takes a few more steps closer towards the girl. "....U-um, excuse me...?" He called.
The girl flinched, and then turned around. "H-huh-?! Who are you?!" She exclaimed in shook. "Don't worry! I don't mean any harm! Well, me and Yamato over here." Teruya said, pointing towards Yamato who was already beside him. "I'm Teruya, and I already mentioned that guy's name."
The girl was silent for a moment, before she smiled through her tears. "Finally, someone came. I'm not lonely anymore." She said. Teruya heard that, and his eyes widen a bit, before returning to normal, and as it did just that, his mouth formed into a frown. "You...You were lonely the whole time...?" He asked in concern.
The girl nodded. "...U-um, sorry, I'm Hibiki, if that's actually my name." Hibiki said. She then stood up from her knelt down position. "Well nice to meet ya! Say, just so that you're not lonely anymore, you wanna join us? We're exploring this world a little more to see if we can find anything new." Yamato offered.
Hibiki thought about the offer for a moment, before nodding with a more happier smile. "Yes! Sure! Thanks!" She replied, her tone showing how happy she is to finally be with actual people rather than being alone. Teruya felt relieved to see her feel more better than a few minutes ago.
The three then continued their journey together, the three of them hand in hand happily.
