The taller woman crouched down, holding out a hand to her. She glanced at it for a moment, only to place her own hands on the edges of the stage and heave herself onto it without assistance. The redhead raised a brow but made no comment, returning her hand to her bass neck. Making sure her lips were well away from the mic, she spoke softly to this small, intriguing blonde, "You'll be all right now," she let herself smile, "feel free to stay up here as long as you like, kay?"
The blonde nodded, "Thank you."
She seemed rigid, her voice lacking joy.
"No worries, love," the bassist assured the strange woman, glancing up at the rest of the stage, her eyes fixing on the empty drum set, a spare they had for no true reason. She started again, "You can sit on the drummer's stool, behind where I've been playing, if you'd be more comfortable," she told the blonde, who's eyes found the drum set quite quickly.
"That's a pretty nice bass," the woman suddenly said, returning her gaze to the tall redhead. She grinned, having completely forgotten the crowd was watching them, at this point.
"She's a beauty, ain't she?" The stronger-built woman muttered, admiring the bass that hung round her shoulder, then her eyes snapped up the blondes face, "You play?"
She asked it in an almost joking way, expecting the other woman to shake her head immediately. Yet she didn't.
"Not really... I'm more of a drummer," she replied, her hands drawing together in front of her, "haven't played in fucking ages though."
The redhead grinned, "You won't mind sitting at the drums then,"she said.
The blonde nodded stifly, pushing herself to a stand and moving towards the empty drum seat. The redhead watched as she sat down on it cautiously, her hands holding onto the rim of the seat. She gave the apparent drummer a double thumbs up and a grin, which was replied to with a small smile that was quickly dropped. Then she turned back to her mic, trying to ignore a fuzzy warmth in her chest.
