Police cars and ambulances are active at the crime scene around "Luther's Parts & Scraps" junkyard. Police tape is strung up. A few onlookers stand just outside the gates.

The Sheriff's car comes roaring down the road and pulls up to the scene.

She exits the vehicle and heads to the junkyard gate, lifting up the police tape and entering the crime scene while another officer stops everyone else from getting any closer. Sheriff Harris walks to another officer named Ethan Bishop standing near a body covered by a sheet.

Harris: What happened?

Bishop: I just got here myself, ma'am.

Another cop, Deputy Charles Meeker can be seen speaking with two detectives and a coroner while holding an evidence bag. The Sheriff strolls over to the body, lifting the sheet and bending a knee to examine the corpse closely. She notices the visible signs of strangulation. The Sheriff sighs, dropping the sheet and covering the body.

Deputy Meeker finishes the conversation with the detectives and walks over, greeting the Sheriff.

Meeker and Bishop follow as Harris walks over to the office and stands in the doorway to the manager's office. The walls are still covered in blood. The manager's corpse is still hanging. The Sheriff recoils with disgust at the horrid sight, covering her nose, shielding it from the stench while she studies the crime scene while a photographer snaps pictures.

Harris: My God…

Bishop pulls out a tissue from his pocket, using it to cover his nose as well. A detective who was dusting for prints, exits the room. Deputy Meeker stands nearby, cringing at the sight.

Meeker: Dispatch got the call from the victim outside. Heard a struggle. These guys were probably working overnight. It's possible someone broke in and… this.

Bishop: Sheesh…

Meeker: Found Luther, here. Hanging. No sign of his coveralls.

Harris: Alright… Someone, cut him down. (Bishop, Meeker, and the Sheriff step outside letting out a couch or two while another cop walks in the office) Any witnesses? Survivors?

The EMTs then haul out a bloody sheeted corpse on a stretcher from the garage.

Meeker: No.

Sheriff Harris sighs again while rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Harris: Shit…

Meeker: We may have a serial killer on our hands, here. We have to put a call out. People have the right to know.

Harris: No, no! We keep this quiet. The LAST thing we need is a panic, or worse. Get some of our units out on patrol. Look for any suspicious characters. Bishop, you're with me. We search through Aspen Avenue, then we go down Market Street and Lampkin. Meeker, I want you to search down Curtis Street and Belmont Avenue. We're looking for someone possibly in a mechanic's jumpsuit.

Meeker: Ma'am, it's Halloween. There's
gotta be a bunch of kids dressing up tonight. Maybe someone's gonna dress up as… a certain someone from 1978. Besides, we have no confirmation.

The Sheriff thinks for a moment.

Harris: Screw it… If we see anyone, and I mean ANYBODY wearing anything resembling a jumpsuit or a white mask, we apprehend them, and ask questions later.

Harris walks away as Bishop follows her back to her cruiser.

//Later//

Y/n awakens from his nap, rubbing his eyes. He looks over to his clock as it reads 2:30 P.M. He moves to the edge of his bed, sitting there.
