After Returning

Relaxed

"Okay, guys I think it's the best to hide the fact that we're the new Element Protecters." Robin says. The gang has returned back to Starlight Academy. And they went to Ash's room for the little meeting.

"Hide it? How long can we hide it?" Misty asks, washing her hands. "They'll know at one point.."

"Well we have to try to hide it. The lesser the attention the better. Don't want fame to get to our heads like SOMEONE." Robin gives a look to Phoenix.

"Seriously? Why do you guys ALWAYS have to pull me into every fricking conversation!!" Phoenix snapped at Robin.

"I agree with Robin." Blake spoke up, to avoid the argument going further. "The lesser the attention, the better. Besides, we have Phoenix's minions who'll never accept it. And possibly do something dangerously stupid."

"They're my friends." Phoenix said, looking down. "They were nice.. I don't know what happened."

"The same thing that happened to you? Fame." Robin says, turning away from Phoenix.

"It's not that."

"Alright, so it's settled. We'll hide that we're the Element Protecters." Brook said, sucking on a lolipop(why do I always take it the wrong way),"I kinda wanted to rub it on Oscar's face but it is what it is, I guess."

"The amount of times you've gotten hurt.. Shall we take a look at the wounds and take care of them?" Ash said, holding Brook's wrist.

Misty looks at Ash and mouths him a good luck. Ash hesitates at that, but doesn't let go off Brook's wrist.

"I wasn't hurt THAT bad, alright. No need to be so worried." Brook says pulling his hand away.

"You.. you got impaled - drowned, scratched- "

"YEAH, Not THAT bad. Y'all are overreacting. If I'm alive, then I wasn't hurt that bad. You know?" Brook said, getting off the table.

"Let's get to bed. It's been a long journey.." Robin sighs, "I'm glad we're all alive."

Dawn smiles,"What do you guys wanna eat?"

"Dawn.. It's been rough for you too, all of us. You don't have to cook now." Blake said, pulling on her hand.

Dawn gives him a reassuring smile, "It's been a long time since we've properly had dinner, Blake. Besides, I can cook something quick."

"I'll help you." Blake said, his eyes not looking as deathly as always. Dawn blushes and smiles yet again, "Thanks."

Both walked into the kitchen. "Anyway Robin, wanna watch something? Like a thriller movie." Brook asks Robin. Ash, disappointed in himself.

"You can go watch a movie with Ash. I'll get some groceries with Phoenix meanwhile." Robin looks at Ash, giving him a chance.

"Sure, have fun gays." Brook gave Robin and Phoenix a smug look. "Oh shut up Brook!" Phoenix stood up from the crouch, chasing Brook.

Ash sighs,"This is hopeless..- I'll just go help Dawn and Blake in the kitche-"

"NO!" Brook and Robin yelled at once. "I- I mean. Dawn got Blake!- So they can handle it."

"Be straight up and say that you don't want the house on fire." Phoenix said.

"Oh yeah.. Shit." Ash says. "I can teach you a few recepies if you'd like." Brook said looking at Ash.

Ash says at once,"of course! I'd love that. For now.. A movie night? Haven't had that for a WHILE.

Brook nods and walks upto the TV to start it up. Ash sits down on the couch, relaxed than ever. "Have fun, guys!" Robin chimed, and dragged Phoenix out of the dorm.

Outside the dorm

"Then what are Dawn and Blake cooking with- if we don't have-" Robin stated. They look at eachother back and forth. "Souls of villains we killed?" Phoenix says.

Robin giggles, "maybe they'll serve us spoiled groceries, who knows."

"Phoenix! Where did you go??" Spiral walks up to them, stunned and shocked that her best friend is still alive. "You went missing- Everyone was looking for you guys. You guys are alive and well right?"

Spiral turns to Robin,"Her? Why are you with a looser like HER Phoenix?!"

"I'm.. I'm not with her. I was just walking past here and she just seemed to be there." Phoenix's reply shocked Robin. She thought Phoenix wouldn't keep their friendship, atleast,a secret. "And yes, we're alive and well. Everyone that went missing, is alive and well. I don't know about well.. but alive."

"Glad to hear that." Spiral nodded, "When will you be starting classes again?"

"Well, we're a bit drained. With everything going on.. Going missing.. Getting almost killed. It's been quite rough. So I think we'll be going to class after a week or so."

"We? Wait, you and the other 6 were with you? You were. Missing with these freaks?" Spiral looks at the floor.

"Yeah. As the leader, I had to take the responsibility, you know." Phoenix says. Robin still standing there still. Not interfering in the conversation.

"Well rest. I'll see you later." Spiral waves and leaves.

Robin left. Phoenix ran after her, "Are you upset?" She seemed to care. Why'd she lie? Maybe she's embarassed of us. Robin frowns, "Of course not. Getting called a freak by someone who I thought was my friend, is definitely not a big deal."

"Look. I didn't call you a freak. Spiral did." Phoenix sighs,"Let's go to the grocery store, we'll talk about this later. Okay?" Robin, still not looking at her, nods.

The two girls leave.

With Dawn and Blake

"I can't believe it.. We united the Element Protecters, Blake." Dawn says, "I can't wait to get closer with all of them. They all seem so nice!"

"I guess.. We've known them for long enough. Brook even sacrificed himself for me. Can't disagree that any of them don't have a kind heart." Blake replied, "except Phoenix. I don't trust that girl."

"I can't blame you.. Everyone except Phoenix are really.. trustworthy in my opinion." Dawn says, "Phoenix needs to get more comfortable with us, that's all. And she actually seems to have gotten quite comfortable with Robin. So that's good."

Dawn opens the fridge. "Yeah, I mean, Robin's really comfortable to be around. Along with you." Blake says just to get cutt off with,"Crap. We don't have groceries-"

"Understandable. I wouldn't expect Ash's dorm fridge to have groceries." Misty says, leaning onto the doorframe of the kitchen. "And guys.. Come with me. This is a TREASURABLE moment."

"Huh?" Dawn asks. Blake looking equally confused. But without another word or question, they followed Misty.

Dawn, Blake and Misty return to the living room, to find Brook asleep with his head on Ash's shoulder. Ash seems to have dozed off too.

Dawn gives them a warm smile. Blake doesn't have a certain reaction but he does become more relaxed to see how well everything is going so far. He hasn't felt this relaxed for a long time. And he doesn't want this feeling to end. Ever.
