Amara
As I wake up, I slowly open my eyes checking my surroundings. I feel a weight around my waist as I try to move. I then see Ashe laying on my stomach between my legs. "Just a few minutes." She mumbles. I sit still letting her sleep. I lay back and drift into my thoughts. She loves me, right? I mean it seems like it. What if she's faking it? Why am I overthinking this?!
"Amara?" Ashe says, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Hm?" I respond, looking down at her. "I called your name 3 times, what's going on in your head?" She asks, sitting beside me. "Oh uh, I was just thinking." I say. "About?" She asks, sitting up. "It's nothing, really." I respond, smiling at her. "Whatever you say." She says, kissing me in my forehead. I feel my heart rate pick up when she pulls away. "Would you maybe want to have another movie day?" She asks, getting off the bed.
"Of course, could we go shopping for some things?" I ask, going to my closet. "Yes, my love." She says, going to her room. I blush slightly getting ready. After I finished getting dressed, Ashe and I went to the store to receive snacks. "So you like sour patch kids?" Ashe says, paying for our stuff. "Yes I do, also I have a question. It's been in the back of my mind for a while." I say, grabbing our bags and walking out with her. "How come you never speak Italian around me?" I ask, loading the car.
"I don't see the need to." She says, getting in with me. "Well I think you should." I mumble. "Pensi che io sia attraente quando parlo in italiano?" She says. My eyes widen slightly. "I think I know what you said, yes I do think you're attractive when you speak Italian." I say, smiling slightly. "So you understand me also? Good to know." She says, parking the car at our dorm. After we both get situated in Ashe's room, we cuddle on her bed and start to look for a movie.
"Amara? I've been thinking, my mom wants me to visit her for Christmas break and I've talked to her about you and she wants me to bring you." Ashe says, making me turn to look at her. "Me? She wants me to come?" I say, making sure I heard her correctly. "Yes, she does. I've talked about you a lot to her." She says, smiling slightly. "I'll go with you." I say.
When I wake up, I realize it's the next day and the sun is peaking through the curtains. "Ashe?" I say, slowly opening my eyes. "Yes Amara?" She says, sounding like she also just woke up. I finally turn to look at her only to see her staring back at me. "I want to go out and do stuff today." I say, smiling slightly. "What do you have in mind?" Ashe asks. "I was thinking we could go to this art museum in town it's opening today." I suggest. "Then maybe walk around the city together?" I add. "Sounds great." She says, smiling at me.
About an hour later, we're walking into the new art museum. "Oh wow this is cool." I say, looking around. I smile feeling safe in the environment I'm in. Art is another passion of mine. "This is pretty cool." Ashe says. "Do you think there might be coffee art in here?" I ask, looking at the paintings. "Maybe, there could be some on canvases." Ashe says. I then see Ashe stop at a painting. "What's this?" I ask. I then look at the bottom of the painting and see Ashe's special signature.
"This is a coffee art canvas I did a few months ago." She says, smiling slightly. "I didn't think it would end up here." She says. "I'm proud of you. Let's go get some food." I say, grabbing her hand.
We both settled on pizza and we sat down outside of the pizza place. I rest my chin on my hand to stare at Ashe. I admire her dark skin glowing as the sun hits it perfectly and her soft expression with her child-like dimples showing slightly. I watch her brown eyes finally show in the sunlight. She really is a work of art."You're staring Amara." She says; her beautiful eyes finally meeting mine. I smile slightly. "I know. I can't help it." I say. I see her turn a faint shade of red. She's absolutely stunning in my eyes.
