Once there was an egg named Benny. He wasn't a chick, he was just an egg. One day when he was born on the farm, he over heard the rumors of what would happen to the eggs that were collected from the chicken coop. It scared Benny, but he tried his best to live a happy life.
One day, the farmer came with a basket to collect the eggs from the chicken coop and Benny hoped he wouldn't be collected. Benny and many other eggs were put inside the basket. Benny was nervous and scared, but hoped the best would happen. Benny's wish worked and he fell out of the basket and onto a bail of hay.
Benny was now happy and felt relief come off of him. Benny's luck didn't last long when a cow stepped on the bail of hay and cracked Benny. Benny laid in the barn feeling sad and hurt in his cracked state. Before it was too late, a swan named Beige came to help him. She put Benny into a pail and he waited in the pail.
Later after the farmer noticed the cracked egg sitting in the pail, he decided that he had dropped the egg on the way to the kitchen and was too lazy to pick it up. Benny was relieved and glad that Beige was there to help. Benny was a puddle of yolk and egg shells, but lived a happy life in the barn.
