"mason hurry up" madeleine said putting on her shoes. "dude shut up" "we're gonna be late" "it's just a soccer game" mason said. "it's y/n's soccer game" maddy emphasized. "this could be your chance" mason stopped what he was doing "are you serious? doesn't she have a boyfriend" "just because she has a friend who is a guy doesn't mean it's her boyfriend" said the brown haired girl.

"we're here" maddy said excitedly "why are you more excited than i am?" "cause my ship is finally sailing" maddy said. "what do you mean by tha—" maddy looked at mason "are you excited to see her?" "well yeah, i'm more nervous than excited" mason said. "don't be, you'll be fine" maddy said sitting down on the bleachers. "what if she says no" "trust me she won't say no"

the score was 3-1 y/n's team winning "she can act and play soccer what can't she do" maddy said. "she can't swim" mason replied. "i really didn't want you to answer that wait—she can't swim?" she asked. "nope, you've known her longer and you didn't know that?" "no i just thought she didn't like the chlorine" maddy said. "well pool water doesn't taste good" "why would you even drink it?" maddy asked giving mason a concern look "it was on accident" he said. "you know people pee in pools right?" mason gave maddy a disgusting look. "you are weird" "you are too"

after y/n's game maddy and mason met her on the soccer field. "y/nnn" "maddyy" "you did so good" maddy said giving y/n a hug. "thank mads, i'm happy you guys came" y/n said letting go of the hug, sending mason a sweet smile. "well we didn't want to miss it" mason said. "he was making us late" "was not" "yes you were" maddy said "he put on like ten different outfits before we left" "it wasn't ten, it was only like three" "that's still a lot. y/n laughed "you guys really do act like siblings" she said. maddy and mason looked at her "no thanks" "ew" the three kids laughed. "i'm going to find my mom i'll be back" maddy said leaving the two teens alone. "you did a good job out there" mason said. "thanks" y/n replied. mason smiled at her "i was wondering if you—" "y/n stop talking with your boyfriend, coach wants a group photo" samantha said running to the two. "okay" y/n said. "i'll be back" she said walking away. "sorry" samantha said.

"so what we're you saying" y/n asked setting down her bag on the ground. mason looked at her "i was just wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime?" "sure" y/n said. "maddy and i wanted to go to—" "i mean just us two" mason said looking at the ground. "oh" "it's okay if you don't want t—" "yeah i'll go on a date with you" "oh okay cool—a date?" mason asked. "well that is what you're asking isn't it" "yeah but like—never mind" he said. y/n chuckled "what time is good for you?" she asked. "on saturday if that's okay with you" mason asked. "yeah that's fine" "okay cool i'll pick you up at 5" he said. "cool i'll see you then, i should get going my mom is probably waiting on me" y/n said picking up her bag. "right i'll see you on saturday" mason said. "bye" "bye"

"what took you so long?" maddy asked mason who was getting in the car. "omg did you guys kiss?" "what no" "not yet at least" she said. "how was it?" "it went okay, i was nervous the whole time" "yeah she told me" "WHAT" "dude calm down" maddy said laughing. "did she actually" "yeah she thought it was cute though" maddy said. "oh" "are you excited?" maddy asked. "how many questions are you going to ask" "a lot, so are you?" "yes" "omg wait—i'm going to have to help you pick out an outfit" maddy said. "i think i have a good sense of style i can pick it myself" "i don't know about that" maddy said. "i'm done talking with you" mason said unlocking his phone. "okay then, go text your girlfriend" "shut up" "no"

let's just say the date when pretty well. mason ended up asking her out on another date where he took her the beach and asked her to be his girlfriend. brooke obviously helped him with everything.
