The wisps of coffee and bacon float up the stairs into my bedroom, slowly waking me up from slumber. Voices of two people speaking, bring me to the upright position. Clutching the blanket to my chest, up to my lips as my bedroom doors creaks open. Revealing a very tired Billy, the bags under his eyes heavy and dark, and his hair not as curly and full of life. But as soon as his eye's make contact with me, still sitting in bed a smile spreads on his face up to his eyes.

"Good morning sunflower." He says ever so softly. A blush spreads across my cheeks, warming them up. I love his new pet nickname for me. It's all because of that song we heard on the radio a few days ago. Us slow dancing together in the kitchen while I make dinner.

He walks across my room, sitting down on the edge of my bed making it squat under his weight. In his cupped hands in a mug full of coffee. The perfect color for the best brew. I'm glad he knows how I like my coffee, sweet and strong just like him. "Is that for me?" I ask.

"Oh, yeah." He looks down, taking a sip of the coffee before passing it to me. His hands lingering a little longer than normal. I wonder if something is on his mind; or if him and his father got into it again last night. "I couldn't sleep last night so I went to the gym and then came over here afterwards to get you up and ready for our day today." He smiles, but it not reaching his eyes this time.

I take a long sip of coffee, letting the flavors roll of my tongue and down the hatch. "Mhmmm." I hum while doing a little dance to get my muscles to start waking up before the coffee hits my nerves. That gets a small laugh out of Billy.

"If you're like this every time I bring or make you coffee, I should do it more often. I like seeing you happy." He grins, taking the coffee from me, and taking another sip for himself.

"I would be okay with you doing that every morning. Bringing me coffee in bed, making me feel like a princess." I crawl over to him, wrapping my legs around his side and resting my head on his shoulder. "Only if I get to see you every morning. That makes it much better." I squeeze him a little, feeling the tension release from him. I lift my head off his shoulder, looking up into his eyes. His eyes are red, looking so tired, and filled with worry and sorrow. "What's wrong babe?"

He sighs, letting his shoulders drop. I love that he feels comfortable enough with me to tell me what's going on with him. It really makes our relationship that much stronger. "Just the normal really. My dad being my dad, and I just had a lot on my mind last night."

"Well I won't push you, but I'm here to listen whenever you want. You totally could've came over and we could've went on a night run together." I nudge him a little getting a light laugh. "Seriously though. Next time you can't sleep come over and we can go on run together."

"A night run? Why go running?" He asks, handing back the coffee to me, and wrapping his arm around my back. His other hand picks up my legs and lays them down in his lap, rubbing my legs.

"Running helps clear the mind. And at night when everything is asleep I feel personally feel more alive when running. So next time." I stop and take a long sip. Billy takes his arm from behind my back and continues to rub my legs. Thankfully he's not all grossed out with the stubble growing on my legs. I must be a sight to see. A big over sized t shirt, short shorts on, and blue fuzzy socks on. My hair up in a messy bun from sleeping. "What time is it?" I ask.

He looks down at his watch, "Close to 8 am why?"

"Today's our double date thing with Nancy and Jonathan. Unless you're too tired and we can cancel the dinner part. But I know Nancy will still want to catch up with me while baking cookies." I say while leaning behind me and putting the mug down on my nightstand with a slight thud. "You could take a quick nap before we go? I know they'll want to meet up around noon. Oh!" I jump off the bed in excitement, running over to my closet and grabbing a bag.
