Chapter: 3 You're to Blame

"Orange and red are the clouds above,
Rolling through the blue ocean sky.
Beyond the space between stars,
Is the light beneath ourselves."

*a young border collie takes a bow as the audience around him cheers* "and that was colorful sky by Autumn, up next will be darkest star by Spencer" *the announcer speaks softly over the crowd while the wiener dog takes center stage and the border collie takes a seat* "huh, this is really nice when your not the one up on stage taking from others heh heh" *Dolly says with a low bark as to not disturb the others around her* "ahh yes that was something i would have to admit, your brother had a way with words and you Dolly have that kind of flare about you" *Hansel barks back in a low voice keeping his eyes on the stage below while Dolly blushes melting under the husky's words as she wags her tail*

*Spencer clears his throat and speaks*

"They witnessed her destruction,
Then were left to wonder why?
She saw nothing but darkness,
Through the stars shone in her eyes.
But maybe they'd forgotten,
When they failed to see the cracks.
That a stars light shines the brightest,
When it's starting to collapse."

*the audience applauds while Portia gives a slight nod as Spencer walks off stage* "wow, didn't know the little sausage had it in him, heh..." *Dolly with a nervous surprise in her voice* "ja he preforms every other gig, they are pretty good but all so dark" *Hansel replies as Dolly tries to lay her head on Hansel's shoulder but Hansel twitches his arm and nervously looks down at Dolly without moving his head* "Hansel is something wrong?" *Dolly asks as she is unsure what is happening* "w-whaaat? nothing is wrong Dolly i-it's ju-" *feeling uncomfortable Hansel tries to find an excuse as the announcer barks over the husky* "and now for muddy friendship by Lance" *the audience claps as a golden retriever walks up on stage* "dude why are you avoiding me?!" *Dolly barks disturbing some of the attendees around her*

Golden retriever: <background>
"The best of friends, Turned out the worst."

Hansel:
"no, no it's not like that..." *putting up his paws and he shakes his head as he now keeps eye contact with the dalmatian while trying to keep his voice down*

Golden retriever: <background>
"I wouldn't have fallen, If they didn't push me first."

Dolly:
"What's that supposed to mean?" *she asks aggressively as she stands up*

Golden retriever: <background>
"But my time in the dirt, Thought me something profound."

Hansel:
"n-nothing, i swear!" *he states raising his voice a bit and disturbing the audience members around them*

Golden retriever: <background>
"You can see a lot clearer, When your backs on the ground."

Dolly:
"Dude tell me what's been going on or i'm leaving."

*the audience claps as the golden retriever finishes his poem*

Hansel:
"Okay, okay, i'll tell you but not in here..." *he barks lowering his voice while looking around nervously, gesturing for Dolly to calm down trying not to disturb anyone else*

*both Dolly and Hansel make their way out of the make shift theater while the audience continues clapping*

*upon walking a little ways away from the theater Dolly confronts Hansel* "dude you've been acting weird since we started the date! and you've been avoiding me or brushing me off all night, what gives?" *she asks as Hansel winces unable to keep it together any longer*

Hansel:
"Okay... when i asked you out and you said Dylan and the pups were exhausted an-"

Dolly:
"Yeah, ssooo?"

Hansel:
"So i heard what happened to your family an-"

Dolly:
"My family is doing just fine!" *tears build up in the dalmatian's eye's as she barks* "thEIR dOing... juSt..." *tears run down the dalmatian's face and using her paws she tries to stop the tears from rushing out any further*

Hansel:
"I'm sorry Dolly i really am... i... i just didn't know how much this has affected you..." *the husky barks softly*

Dolly:
*she sniffles while whipping away some of the tears* "wh-" *takes in a short and sharp breath* "why?" *she barks with a sniffle at the end*

Hansel:
"It wasn't my idea to try and cheer you up but Roxy wan-"

Dolly:
"Roxy?!!" *the tears stain the dalmatian's fur as she turns from sorrow to anger*

Hansel:
"Ja she wanted to-"

Dolly:
"Wanted to what!? huh!? tell me thAt my family Is dead!? And tHat i HAve nothing left To back tO!! WAs tHAt IT!!?"

Hansel:
"no, no, no, nothing like tha-" *he barks while shaking his front paws and head*

Dolly:
"WEll yOu know WhAt!? I dOn't nEed friENds lIke YoU AnwAY! I cAn tAkE cARe Of My sElf!!!" *her voice cracks while barking loudly before running off*

Hansel:
"WAIT! NO! DOLLY!" *shouting while giving chases down a few blocks as Dolly runs across street after street* "DOLLY! WAIT! STOP!" *the husky shouts while Dolly ignores the few cars that would have ran her over as she continues to run with tears in her eyes* "DOLLY! DOLLY!" *his reasoning was unable to reach the young dalmatian while his cry's for her stop fall on deaf ears as the husky stops at the edge of the road and can not cross the street without being run over himself as Dolly sprint's back to her townhome*

*bursting throught the doors the dalmatian bolts up the stairs checking her parents room* "Mum?! Dad?!" *frantically looking around the empty room before moving on to the next room* "Dizzy?! Dee Dee?!" *panting the young dalmatian tries to catch her breath as she opens up to another empty room* "Dawkins? Deepak?  ... Dallas? Destiny? Déjà Vu?" *Dolly goes from empty to empty room before making her way down stairs* "Dante? Delgado?" *she barks while still frantically looking around as she makes her way from the living room to the kitchen* "Dimitri's? Diesel?" *the dalmatian sprint's towards the other side of the kitchen and bursting through the dinning room door* "Dylan?!" *a whimper escapes the dalmatian upon barking*

*tears land on the floor below within the dark and empty room as Dolly's legs become weak and weary, silence falls while not even a soft whimper escapes the dalmatian as reality sinks its teeth in, grabbing ahold of the dalmatian's mind as the world around her fades away and leaving her alone in a empty void*

*before letting out*
