Chapter Five

Nicholas woke up to the smell of grape juice and a warm breakfast. Tiredly he wanders into the main hall of the winery to see the three other boys sitting at the table with plates of fluffy pancakes.

"I see you're up Thumper. Take a plate. Me, Emmett, and Diluc would like to talk to you." Kaeya smiles gently.

Nicholas nods slightly, an ear bent and a drowsy look in his eyes as he piles about 5 pancakes on the plate and brings them to the table. He takes a fork and stabs into the first pancake shoving it into his mouth.

Diluc continues to speak after Nicholas eats, "Um we've been talking about this and all three of us agreed that we want to share our love with you."

Nicholas pauses and glances between the three with a nervous chuckle, "This isn't some cruel joke, right?"

He thinks back into the hazing he endured into the fatui, but this was much different. Emmett said he would talk to them, right? This was the outcome?

There is no joke, Nicholas. We all learned to love you. Apparently, everyone here felt the same way.

Nicholas heart beats loudly as he quickly hops out of his seat and hugs the three tightly. Emmett chuckles and nods to the others who all give him a kiss. Emmett first on the forehead, Kaeya next on the cheek, and lastly Diluc cups his cheek and kisses him on the lips.

Nicholas is red as he grips the boys tightly, he never wanted to let go of them or this ever again.

It's been a month since Nicholas started dating the three boys. He moved into the shared room with the three of them and he couldn't help but feel warm every night.

Now Nicholas and Emmett were going out to find a gift for Kaeya's birthday. They are meant to meet up at the Angel's Share later that day to celebrate and give their gifts to the boy. Emmett was very excited for the day.

Nicholas glanced over to the Hotel holding the Fatui ambassadors. He felt a shiver go through his spine before the two walked into Marjorie's.

"Oh, hello Emmett and Nicholas! I believe you're here for Kaeya's birthday, no? Well, I have something just in that might be perfect for him!"

Emmett and Nicholas come over to Marjorie who was holding a vintage wine glass set, Emmett claps and nods. It would be perfect for what Diluc had planned as a gift. Emmett hands her mora before she starts to gently pack up the set.

Nicholas wanders around finding a set of four bracelets. Three birds and one rabbit holding parts of a bigger heart that would connect with magnets.

"Oh? I see you found those bracelets... They were given to me by that bard Venti. He said that they would catch someone's eye eventually. I see that it is you. Would you like them? I'll give them to you on the house, mostly because they're not product, but also because that wine glass set is expensive," Marjorie chuckles.

That's so nice of you Marjorie, Emmett writes down before taking the wine set.

"It's no problem, dears! Have a good day!"

The two enter angel's share and wave over to Diluc who was setting up a table with a soft smile. Nicholas sniffs the air. It smelled of cake and vintage wine. Nicholas glances at the box holding the wine Diluc was giving to Kaeya. He smiles nervously.

"It's a gift from me and my... no... our father really. I've been saving it for the right moment," Diluc runs a hand through his hair as he sighs.

"You miss him, don't you? You blame yourself for driving Kaeya away too..."

Diluc chuckles, "I would never admit that to be the truth..."

"I know you wouldn't, but I know you by now." Nicholas sighs.

Everyone gets ready! Kaeya is going to come soon! Emmett writes.

Nicholas nods as the three of them set their gifts down at the table waiting to wish Kaeya a happy birthday.

Kaeya enters the Angel's share after a long day of work ready to get some wine and a rest when he notices the boyfriends.

"Happy birthday Kaeya!" All three of them say in synchronization. Even Emmett spoke to wish the other a happy birthday.

Kaeya pauses blinking in surprise, "You know- no matter how many times Emmett surprises me with a party it always surprises me."

"Come on in silly! Dig in. This is all for you!" Nicholas claps happily.

Kaeya smiles and sits across from Diluc and next to Emmett and Nicholas. They each get a bite of cake before Kaeya opens his gifts.

"Mine is a gift for all of us... so we can always be together even when we're apart." Nicholas holds out the bracelets and hands them out to all of them.

The three of them smile a bit before Nicholas puts their hands together connecting the four pieces together.

"Tada!" Nicholas laughs.

"What a find Thumper-" Kaeya laughs.

I love it, Emmet writes down.

Diluc smiles, "Me too..."

Nicholas chuckles before Emmett pulls out the wine set. It goes perfect with Diluc's gift...

"Oh? What exactly did you get me Luc?" Kaeya rests his head on his hand humming softly.

He pulls out the bottle of vintage wine, "Dad... dad made this for you when you first came to the house. He said when you grow up you should have it... well... from both of us. This is for you."

Diluc hands the wine to Kaeya and turns away. Kaeya's eyes widen before he smiles... He blinks away tears before glancing back at the three.

"Well? Let's open the wine and grape juice and enjoy the day loves." Kaeya grins as Diluc pours the drinks and Emmett cuts the cake.

The three celebrate way into the night. Drinking, eating cake and being merry. Nicholas steps away to get some fresh air. He sips the wine outside leaning on the deck's fence enjoying the coolness of the night. For once in his whole life, he felt like he belonged here... with them. He never wanted to leave.

He didn't even notice the footsteps walk up the stairs until the man was right next to him.

"It's been a while Dimitri-"

Nicholas freezes and looks next to him stumbling back slightly, "Il Dottore."
