Chapter Two | Peanut Butter
Technically, if you aren't actually sleeping, they can't really punish you. Right? What I don't get is, why am I getting punished then?
"Miss Novak, can I know why you are sleeping during my class?" Mr. Burnsey asked.
Me being the stupid person I am, I replied "I wasn't technically sleeping, I was just thinking about..." I looked around to see what we were 'learning' today. "about world history and how it all started and all".
He eyed me and told me to pay more attention to the class or I will have a detention. I nodded and payed attention. Like, I don't want to have a detention on my first week of class. Is just the second day and I'm starting to have problems with teachers already.
Is not that I don't care but I care. I know is confusing but I want a high GPA so I can go to my dream collage. All of my friends are going to their dream collage, so why not just go too? That's the only thing I've wished since I turned thirteen, and still three years ahead I'm still in the goal.
Well I'm sixteen and a junior, isn't this good? I'll get to leave before I turn eighteen! The only thing I need to get in mind is get my dad to not involve me in his business.
My dad has this quite huge business called Novak Industries. He is a CEO, since I'm his only child (for now) I would be the one to take over and I'm not looking forward it. I just want to be a doctor. I don't want to be the leader of a company, is like being in high school all over again.
There's gossip, drama, and everyone wants to know everything about you. Like, mind your own business. I know I say 'like' a lot, but is just a thing I have.
"You know, you can actually die of excess of water" Jonah said like he just discovered the most precious thing on the world.
"Yeah, actually you can die if you have too much of something, you can die if you eat too much or drink too much, you can rupture your stomach if you eat too much and if you drink way too much, you can have a high level of salt, or sodium, in your blood to drop too low. That's a condition called hypothermia which can be fatal. You may hear it called water intoxication." I said.
"How do you know that?" Nathan asked
"Well, I am a very weird person, so all the conspiracies I watch and all those fun facts I send on the group chat or read are actually very interesting. Though, did you know that there is a cursed book that makes you commit suicide?" I said like nothing. It was quite funny to watch how my friends looked at me after I said that.
"Really! whats the name of it!?" Whitney, one my bestfriends asked all exited
"The Sorrows of Young Werther, though that book is banned because whoever read it would commit a copycat suicide. And by banned I mean they're not on sale and have been burned" I said clarifying, cause I know that they would try to find it. Not because they want to copycat suicide but to see if it's true. Yeah, I have crazy friends. But who doesn't?
"Hey Xeph, what was the thing you needed to do before class?" Maya asked, and the whole table looked at me.
What should I say? 'I when to look for my schedule and my locker number, and I found a sock on it so I was like 'what the actual fuck' and then a guy with deep green eyes shouted at me and we had a fight and I ended up needing to share lockers with him for a month or so. Ahh, and I did a fool of myself by having a laughter attack in front of him and he founds me amusing!' Of course not, I'm not that crazy nor stupid.
"I just needed to get my locker combination/number and my schedule." I shrugged
"So... where's Ace?" I asked to get the attention off me. I hate the attention, though sometimes it just seems like the universe is against me and makes me the middle of it.
"Ah, he is on the line" Jonah pointed at him.
Ace is tall like 6 ft or so, though Jonah is 5'10 ft like Nathan. But, that guy from yesterday seemed like taller like a 6'3 or something. Why am I even thinking of him? Although I really need to talk to him so we can have a schedule or organizer and have rules of the locker. I can't just open the locker and found a sock in there.
I'm thinking of buying an organizer, like a Ikea thing that has its separator to organize things, like books and stuff, but he would have the lower one and I'll have the upper one. Its simple, the only thing in the way is making him agree on it and buy it with me. Cause I won't be the only one paying for it.
Talking about him, I haven't seen him since the incident yesterday. I might as well look for him. I should of asked for his name or number so I wouldn't be looking for him right now. I got up the table and when to the locker to put a post-tic on it. I know myself, I will forget and end up opening the locker later on to find more disgusting things in it.
Unknown dude I'm sharing this locker with,
I need to organize this so if you read this call or text me.
P.s. Don't leave more socks or any weird/disgusting thing other than books in here, thanks!

I pasted it on the locker's inner wall, with my phone number on it, and left to my next class.

"ACE!" I shouted on the hall.
I ran up to him and jumped hugging my legs on his waist and my arms around his neck, while he moved from left to right. I took in his pine tree aroma that he always has. Like, is so potent you hug him and that smell stays with you till you wash your cloths. Is not a bad smell though, it reminds me of nature.
"Phany" He breath as we impacted.
I haven't seen Ace since before summer. He went to Europe for the whole summer. We called and all, but is was difficult since there were time differences. Ace is my guy best-friend, He is tall and has deep electric blue eyes, with dark brown hair and he isn't built nor skinny, he is just perfect.
He changed so drastic on the summer. He is a little buffer and has this Shawn Mendes hair cut, which suits him a lot, and he looks a lot different. I wouldn't have recognize him if it wasn't because of the phone calls and those electric blue eyes.
I didn't see him yesterday because he was still on his way to here. Well, he kind of got here at eleven at night. His flight got delayed. Good thing he wasn't lazy enough to stay in and not come to school.
"Oh my god!" I wheezed "You are so much buffer! What happened!?" I asked getting off of him.
"Yeah" He swayed his hair to a side, "I was in this boxing club, you know the one I talked to you about. Well, they made me work hard there." he chuckled. He has such a smoky voice too. So much has changed within him. I just hope it was just looks and not other things.
"Sorry I couldn't be there on the break. Had some business that I needed to attend." I said scratching the back of my head. Something I usually do when I'm nervous or anxious.
"Its okay, butter" He smiled kindly
I looked at him and smiled. He hasn't forgotten of our nicknames we gave to each other when we were like 8. Some things never change. I only hope it stays like that forever. I wouldn't want for it to change.
