All-in-one Chocolate Cake
ingredients
175 g margarine
175 g brown sugar
3 tbs cocoa powder
2 tbs boiling water
3 large eggs beaten
175 g self-raising flour
50 g ground almondsfilling
150 mls whipped creamtopping
125 g milk chocolate melted
1 cup of glacé cherries (optional)method
STEP 1. preheat oven to 180C.
STEP 2. grease and line the base of 2x16 cm sandwich pans. blend and cool cocoa with boiling water.
STEP 3. place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl with a wooden spoon or electric mixer until well mixed
STEP 4. DO NOT OVER BEAT (or bad things could happen)
STEP 5. place half the mixture in both the pans and bake for 25-35 min.
STEP 6. turn out and cool on a wire rack
STEP 7. cut the cake and put cream on the bottom layer and put the top layer on top
STEP 8. pour the melted chocolate on the cake and decorate with whatever you want
