1st Person POV - BadBoyHalo
I got to Zak's room within a few seconds, I was just able to catch my breath when I saw Zak on his floor unconscious. I rushed over to him and picked him up and sat there with him in my arms. I put my two fingers on his arm and I could feel a pulse but it was faint. Vincent then came into the room and crouched down and got on his knees. I then saw Zak's eyes fluttering and he opened his eyes but only slightly, I didn't remove my fingers from his arm.
"D...Darryl... Is... Is that you...?" Zak asked and I could see the blood in his mouth as he spoke, "yes... yes it's me..." I said as tears filled my vision as I looked at Zak. I shut my eyes and let the tears fall down my face before reopening them to look at Zak again. "I...I see you're wearing the flower crown..." Zak said weakly, "of course I'm wearing it... You made it for me so why wouldn't I wear it..." I said trying not to sound as if my voice was breaking. "D...Darryl... Th...thank you for everything... all the memories... all the laughs we had... just everything... I can't even put into words how thankful I am that I met you... Just... thank you..." Zak said and I could feel his pulse slowing down. More tears streamed down my face as I replied, "N...no problem... You have no idea where I'd be without you... I'm so thankful I met you, Zak... You were always there for me when I needed you and I really wanted to continue to be there for you but it seems that won't happen..." I said as more tears blurred my vision. I closed my eyes so the tears would fall down my face before I reopened them to look at Zak. I then saw that there were tears falling from Zak's eyes as well...
"Darryl... Vincent... I just want you both to know that... I love you and I'm so thankful I got to meet you... You were the bestest friends I guy could ever ask for..." Zak said as his pulse slowed, even more, he didn't have much time left. "And Darryl... I just want you to know this before I go... I...I love you... More than just friends... I always have loved you... But I knew you would never love me back and now I'm paying the price for falling for you..." Zak said as his eyes began to close, "No Zak please stay with me!" I desperately said, "I...I love you..." Zak said but then my heart dropped, I could no longer feel a pulse. That's when I couldn't control myself, I just broke down. I hugged the body of Zak in my arms and just cried, I could also hear Vincent crying. "Zak... No... Please wake up... please... I still need you... I...I love you... I wish I told you that before you left me... Zak... I'll miss you... Best Friends Forever..." I said as I broke down once more while still holding Zak's body in my arms. I just couldn't believe it... I had now lost my best friend...
