The invitation for the reopening of the Serrano's Batangas resort indicated that I could bring a plus one, so I decided to bring Dharma.

Nagtampo ang iba naming kaibigan nang malaman 'yon, so I just promised to take them to the resort some other time and it would be my treat. I figured since I'll be the future girlfriend of the heir, I could get a hefty discount.

We rode private boats with other guests. Karamihan ay hindi ko kilala. Dharma knew some of them, some non-showbiz high profile guests and others were either artists or influencers that I didn't know.

We were welcomed by friendly staffs with leis. I was disappointed that Hades wasn't among the welcoming committee.

The staffs took care of our bags and divided us into smaller groups for a tour. Everyone was fascinated at how beautiful the resort hotel was and I couldn't help but be proud at the thought that Hadeon was in charge of it all.

The tour ended at our accommodation, where all of the VIPs were designated, the hotel rooms built on stilts. Dharma and I were the last one to be walked to our rooms.

"If you have any special requests or if you need anything at all, Ms. Kaia, just let me know po and I'll personally see to it," Janella kindly stated, an offer that she didn't mention to the other guests.

"Thank you," I replied.

"You're most welcome. Enjoy your stay po!" she said before excusing herself and leaving us to our water villa.

Nilingon ko si Dharma na nakaupo sa couch at malaki ang ngiti habang tumitingin sa buong villa. It was large enough to have two beds in a separate room, a dining and living area, and a bathroom.

"Damn. It's so beautiful here. It reminds me of Maldives," sabi ni Dharma. Tumayo siya at lumakad sa maliit na dining table kung saan may nakalagay na dalawang cocktail drinks. She picked up one glass and raised it in the air. "Cheers to hospitality."

Meanwhile, I busied myself connecting to the Wi-Fi so I can check if I received any message from Hadeon.

I sighed, once again disappointed, when there wasn't any. It was already nine in the morning. He should be awake by now, right? It's a big day for him, after all. Was he aware that I was already at the resort?

Kaia:
Goodmorning! I'm at the resort. Where are you?

After not receiving an immediate reply, a sigh leaved me again. I stowed my phone away.

"What's with the sighs, babe? We're literally in paradise."

I didn't wanna spoil the getaway experience for Dharma so I smiled and shook my head. "Nothing. What do you want to do first?"

Dharma gave me the stinky eye. She knew exactly what I was sighing about. Or who, to be exact. She let it go and went on about her plans.

My vain best friend's itinerary started with impromptu photo shoots. I followed all of her whims, while subtly scanning the areas to see if I could spot Hades. I failed miserably.

Dharma coerced me into posing for photos as well. Sumunod naman ako. I couldn't deny the fact that she was good at taking photos. No one was swimming at the beach yet, so she thought it was a good idea to take photos in the water as well.

"You look so bored. Think of it as helping your boyfie with his family business," pagkumbinsi pa ni Dharma.

She actually got a point with that. It was one of the reasons why I got invited in the first place. Hindi lang dahil sa kilala na ako ni Tita Savion. She knew I had an audience, and it was a smart move to invite me.
