Chapter Seventeen

"Baby, where are you?" bungad ni Hades sa akin nang sagutin ko ang tawag. I could hear the television noise in the background.

So impatient. Napairap ako pero hindi rin napigilan ang pagtakas ng ngiti.

"Just got in my condo. Magpapalit lang ako ng damit." I put the call on speaker and brought down my phone at the lazy sofa to resume with picking out what to wear.

"Maybe I can just go there? Ang ingay nila Orion at Takumi," tunog iritado niyang sabi.

"Ulol!" I heard a voice in the background. I can't make out the owner of the voice but based on the crudeness, I could easily tell that it was Orion.

"Like you're not used to it? Pare-pareho lang naman kayong maingay," nakatawa kong sagot. I picked up a sheer red top and black cotton shorts.

"I just want some alone time with you," he whispered. His background got quiet. Hey probably moved away from the living room. "I miss you."

His seductive voice made me stop from what I was doing and shiver. Araw-araw kaming nagkikita ni Hades after work so I know what he meant when he said he misses me.

He wanted a replay of what happened last week. Sa unit kasi ni Takumi ay hindi siya makaporma dahil hindi na kami naiwan mag-isa. I made sure of it, after all.

Bago pumunta sa unit ni Takumi ay talagang inaalam ko kung nandoon ba ang mga kaibigan niya. It's not that I didn't like what happened last time.. it's that I liked it too much.

I concluded that it's dangerous to be alone with him. Baka sa susunod na mapag-isa kaming dalawa ay baka hindi lang 'yon ang mangyari.

I'm a virgin. Hindi ako conservative. I wasn't saving myself nor was I waiting to get married before doing it... but I was just scared of how intense everything was with him. The nervousness of doing it the first time was there, too.

"Don't you miss me, too?" mas lumambing ang boses niya.

"Hades..." tanging sagot ko. My will was shaking.

He paused for a few seconds before finally talking again, "Okay, baby. I'll be waiting here."

Nakahinga ako nang maluwag nang hindi na siya nagpumilit. I was expecting him to seduce me more and convince me, knowing his personality. He respected my decision.

A smile crept on my lips. "Bye."

"See you," he quipped and ended the call.

Itinuloy ko na pagpalit ko ng damit. I wore a bit of perfume, too. Mabilis ang bawat kilos ko dahil alam ko kung gaano kabilis mainip si Hadeon. He will definitely call again if I'm not there in the next ten minutes.

Palabas na ako ng unit nang mangyari na nga ang iniiwasan kong mangyari. My phone rang for a call.

I rolled my eyes but the amused grin still followed. Sinagot ko ang tawag nang hindi na tumingin pa sa screen.

"You are so impatient," I feigned the annoyance in my tone.

"Kaia?" a different voice enveloped my ear.

Nalaglag ang ngiti ko at agad na napatingin sa screen ng phone ko.

It was Gio! Not Hades! Shit!

Calm down, Kaia. He doesn't know who you were talking to. Hindi naman nakakapanghinala ang sinabi ko at tunog naiinis pa ako kaya siguradong wala siyang naiisip na iba.

"Oh. I thought you were someone else," I deadpanned even though deep inside, I was still lowkey panicking.

"Uh. It's Gio," he sounded uncertain. His naivety completely killed my anxiousness.
