( Quick warning: This chapter has many depictions   of violence and and gore. Step out if you don't like that stuff.)

What in the name of god..? I thought, panic buzzing through my skull like the never-ending buzz of lights in infinite level.  Am I dreaming? Do the backrooms ACTUALLY EXIST? I continued to think, getting up slowly and beginning to walk through the endless halls of monotone yellow and insanity, praying none of the monsters- or entites would find and slaughter me alive, I just had to pray I could escape.

Every minute felt like an hour, and the walls and floors seemed to twist and get smaller with every step. I could tell I was already going insane. What's the faster route to a safer level? If their even are any safe.. levels. I continued to think, still walking slowly, glancing around every 5 seconds, as a great sense of schizophrenia was quickly growing on me. maybe I should r- I began to think, but was interrupted  by a loud booming noise down one the the hallways. I was not alone anymore.

''Hello?'' I called out nervously, turning to the direction of the noise, nervously grasping at the knife I had brought, oh which I had already made a holder for. ''I uh...have a knife!'' I called out towards the noise. ''I'm really not afraid to use it!''  Another, yet more curious noise, came from down the hallway, seeming almost like a warning or ''Who's there?'' Call.   ''Uhh...'' I could only stammer, and slowly walk towards the echo.

The noise continued in almost the exact same length and sound, still seeming like the curious- or warning noise. ''I-I'm not gonna hurt you!'' I called out again, perhaps this was a friendly entity that could potentially help me escape this hell. It called out again. This time it was freakishly close and sounded...less friendly. I stood their for a brief moment, staring down the hall, then it finally came out.

It was a ink black entity that kind of looked like a corrupted skeleton, and it had a huge jaw full of razor blade sharp- whatever they were. It ''stared'' ( idk if howlers/bacteria have eyes-) at me for a brief moment, the ink pulsing in its frightening body.  ''Uhh.. are you gonna attack me?'' I asked nervously, still standing still and staring it down. For a good 2 minutes, it just sat their, and then I realized I should've ran when I heard it. It made a horrific screeching noise, and began bounding towards me, jaw ready to end my life.

'' YEEP!'' I cried, jolting out of its way, and beginning to run away in any direction as fast as possible, ( with a 20 pound backpack on- slayyy- ) the monster screeching behind me. OH GOD HOW AM I GOING TO ESCAPE THIS THING? I thought desperately, still summoning all the energy possible. Maybe there is another level I can somehow get to? I thought once more, being able to catch my breath a bit with the monster behind me a little, still screeching angrily that its prey was escaping.

There was hardly any time to think. Within a minute I could already see it again, and being forced into another painful run, only being able to prey that I was dreaming. It was getting exhausting and I could it  getting closer, and I thought that this had to be the end. '' FINE I GIVE UP!'' I cried, letting the exhaustion take me to the ground. I could hear it chittering, making exhausted clicking noises, then screeching, grabbing me with its inky hands,  and throwing me up against the wall.

Well Casey, at least you'll get to leave this hell. I began thinking, jolting my eyes around in panic, staring at the jaws of the monster, which were slowly getting closer, almost as if wanted to give me an extra painful death. But just as I was about to accept my demise, I saw a door appear, confetti and balloons surrounding it. Oh! and I also had a knife. I quickly kicked the creature, and as fast as possible, grabbed my knife and sliced its arm clean off, and jolted up towards the door. I could hear its horrific pained screeched. But that was all over now. I ran through the door, a hopefully less dangerous level awaiting. m;]
