"Oh my goodness. Its finally cold!" You stretched your arms out and breathed in the freezing cold air. This was a good change after being in the humid desert!
"Darlin' its best you come back in, i made warm drinks!" Engie called while carrying a steaming mug of hot chocolate. You were easily broke and stuck your tongue out at him as you put your hoodie over your head and went back inside. In reality, you adored Engineer and just about everything about him. But you were WAY too nervous to tell him so you kept it to yourself..
TIME SKIP (About 10 mins later)
With your stomach full of warm goodies you decided to head to your room while humming a tune, you forgot what the song was called but it made you want to keep humming, when all of a sudden you felt like someone was behind you.
You turned to find Engie trailing you.
"Uhm did you need something?" You said with a nervous smile.
"Oh! Y/N it's just you! Sorry I couldn't see ya behind your hoodie!" You stared at his weirdly, as you were the only one wearing a hoodie so you assumed it was an excuse for something, but shrugged it off.
"I noticed you were humming my tune I play, your real good ya know!" He said, forming a small blush on his cheeks, you on the other hand were completely red at this point. IT WAS HIS?? OH IM SUCH A SUCKER FOR THIS MAN..
"O-Oh it was y-yours! Sorry!! I had it stuck in my head for a while..!" You couldn't bear to look at him after embarrassing yourself like that..
"Hey darlin' I was wonderin' if-" But he realized you were gone. You were... afraid? No... I like Engie but I cant bear to embarrass myself like that! You were hiding behind a wall near where he was watching him rub the back of his neck, until he was approached by Scout.
"No no no no no no no NO... Not Scout of all people, he's gonna question Engineer and make fun of him or something!" I whispered with my hand on my mouth.
"Engineer, what are ya doing just standing here? You promised to fix my..." Scout stopped to analyse him.
"Damn, your face is totally red! Have you fallen for somebody!?" Scout said jokingly, poking at his stunned form.
"Shut it, city boy!" Engie looked away but Scout kept turning to face him. Until eventually Scout stopped and looked at a corner of the wall... WAIT.
"Y/N! Engie here was going to expose his secret crush to me, stop hiding and listen in on this!!" Scout said obliviously and dragged you out.
"W-wait!!" You sqeaked with your hands over your face, but he ignored you and all of you were crammed together to listen to Engie's confession.
"Scout..!!" Engineer whispered into Scouts ear
"What!? I was just lettin' Y/N hear.... WAIIIIT A SECOND....." Scout was almost speechless.
"You dummy." Engie blushed furiously.
"OMYGOD. ENGIE LIKES Y/N! This is like a Christmas miracle!!!" Scout yelled with a grin going ear to ear, while Engie and Y/N just stood there looking at the ground.
"I'm sorry... I just didn't know if you.. ya' know... like me back.." You said while shedding a tear.
You heard Engie take a deep breath in, and you felt arms pull you.
Suddenly you felt a pair of lips meet yours and you looked at Engie with shock.
"I should of done this sooner darlin'" He said while taking off his goggles to reveal his gorgeous eyes.
"I am a master of love!" Scout fist pumped the air as you two continued to kiss.
