He awoke suddenly, sitting up and accidentally kicking the blanket resting on his body off slightly. He glanced around himself terrified. A strange pope in black and white makeup stood before him, a tall figure with a mask and horns next to him.

"Calm down! You're alright, I am Copia." Copia said, a hand lightly grabbing him. "You are a ghoul, a demon from hell. I have summoned you to spread the word of Satan through music."

The ghoul was horrified. He didn't remember dying. He didn't remember living. He didn't remember anything. His hands flew to his face, seeing if there was anything he could remember. He had bangs that went in between two large horns, sharp fangs that pricked his finger, and a scar along his cheek. He didn't recognize himself. The ghoul glanced up to Copia, fear and confusion clear in his eyes.

"Ghouls, help him to his room and get his uniform. After that, you can do whatever you please until dinner." Copia said, helping the new ghoul stand. He gestured for the taller ghoul to stay close by him. A ghoulette appeared next to him suddenly, smiling wildly.

"That's Mountain, I'm Sunshine. I wonder what name they're gonna give you..." Sunshines voiced trailed off as she moved ahead to open a door, gesturing for the two to walk through. She stayed a few steps ahead to open doors and guide the new ghoul through countless hallways, making small talk occasionally. After an ungodly amount of walking they made it to the ghouls quarters and the commons room, of which numerous ghouls and ghoulettes were sat playing board games and chatting whilst some odd movie played. A few looked up from what they were doing and waved to the three. Sunshine led them through two more halls before stopping to open a bedroom door and flip on the light switch inside.

"This'll be your room. Your uniform, mask, and whatever else is needed will be in here somewhere." Sunshine said, smiling warmly at the newest ghoul before walking off to her own room.

"You can keep your mask off within the ghouls quarters, just put it back on when you leave." The taller ghoul said softly. Even with his attempt, Mountains voice still startled the ghoul.

He nodded, stepping into his new bedroom and kicking the door shut. He dropped the blanket onto the bed and dug through the uniforms, grabbing the one that fit him whilst still being a little big. He slipped into his clothes and tried on his mask, looking at himself in the mirror. He looked strange. Warm grey skin, sharp fangs, a tail he didn't even realize he had, lavender hair, and horns. He didn't understand why he had been brought back to life, if he could even be considered alive. He took on the mask and set it onto his desk. His room was nice, this place had an eye for detail apparently. He turned off the lights and left the room, making his way through the halls and to the commons room.

He saw Mountain reading with a ghoul with blue cracks in his skin, while Sunshine was with a ghoulette with white cracks in her skin. He looked around and studied each and every one of the ghouls. A ghoul named Swiss was fighting with a smaller ghoul named Dew. The shorter had red, the other had a strange color he couldn't put a name on. Sunshine had the same, he realized. Sitting talking to a ghoulette was a friendly looking ghoul. He decided to sit near Sunshine, she and the other ghoulette were furthest from the fight Swiss and Dew were having.

As the ghoul sat down, the commotion seemed to pause. He was suddenly bombarded with questions and hellos. A few were asking Mountain about what he thinks he'll be named, whilst others were asking if he remembered his time alive. Swiss sat next to the ghoul and smiled at him, sharp fangs showing.

Swiss leaned a bit closer to him so he could actually hear what he was saying. "They'll likely just call you what you remember, just so you know." The newest ghoul looked to him and shakily nodded. Sunshine glanced over to Swiss and shook her head. After a minute or two the excitement over the new ghoul died down and everyone went to their respective spots. Aether was the first to speak, asking if he remembered anything.

"Not really? I just remember enjoying the atmosphere cemeteries and stuff. Oh and plants! I remember what a few flowers mean when they're given!" He said the last sentences excitedly, smiling like a child on Christmas morning. Swiss and Sunshine chuckled a bit at that.

Mountain and Aether nodded at that. "How about Graves?" Aether questioned, his eyes glancing from Mountain to the new ghoul. Mountain nodded, looking to the new ghoul.

"That's fine, I suppose." Graves replied softly, looking everywhere but at the people around him. Are they people? He'd have to ask them later. The ghouls went back to what they were doing before Graves sat down. He didn't chat with Swiss or Sunshine, he thought they didn't want to. He just spaced out, looking at his new family? Friends? Coworkers? He didn't know what to call it. After a bit Swiss leaned back over to Graves to talk.

"So, Graves, how's your mask and uniform fit? I can ask Papa for a different one if you need me too." Swiss asked, resting a hand on top of Graves'.

"No, no, you don't need to ask for a different one! They fit. I chose a size bigger for a reason, don't worry." Graves responsed, shaking his head as he spoke.

Swiss shrugged, "I just don't want you to get hurt cause your uniform gets caught on something. We all care about you, y'know."

Their discussion was suddenly interrupted by Sunshine saying that they had to get dinner. A hoard of ghouls threw on their masks and ran through the halls, startling Graves while Swiss just laughed. Graves looked to Swiss with horror in his eyes. Swiss patted Graves' back and shook his head.

"They're just excited, don't worry about it. They'll be calmer in a few days." Swiss said before running after the group. Graves just stood for a moment, quickly following when he realized he'd rather be with the chaos than be alone right now.

Everyone was laughing and talking at the table. They practically tore apart their dinner while Graves wasn't really hungry. He ended up passing his food to Swiss, who ate it like it was his first meal in months. It scared him, but he liked the atmosphere. He enjoyed the way they acted like a family and didn't really care about being proper.
