Chapter 7

End Everything

It was already pretty late. The moon light spreaded around Rian's room which she was laying on her bed, not being able to fall asleep.

"Ha.... My sleeping pills are all out too." She mumbled as she took the last pill she has.

It's when she heard a sound coming from outside the living room. A sound of doors closing, and a sound of someone talking.

Of course, she went out of her room to check what was going on. To her surprise, there stood Sanzu and Mikey who looked like they're ready to go out.

"Hm? Mikey, you're not in your bed?" She asked.

"Well duh, as you can clearly see." Sanzu being himself, answered.

"I was about to go get you, saved the energy for me to do so." Mikey looked at her.

As she heard that, she was kind of weirded out. On normal occasions, Mikey was supposed to be in bed and refused to talk to anyone.

"Oh? Where are you going?"

"To that abandoned bowling area." Mikey said, then opened the door and went out.

The other two followed him. As Rian were confused why.

"If you're curious about why...." Sanzu spoke.

Then leaned to her height and whispered.

"I saw Hanagaki around that area when I was done with my stuff just now."

"Hanagaki... As in Hanagaki Takemichi..?" She asked, earning a nod from Sanzu.

"Well if it's so, then it was no surprise."

Fast forward

The three had reached the abandoned bowling place. Entered, and first to come in sight was Takemichi sitting on a chair that's in a row.

Rian and Sanzu went behind him, which he never noticed. Just what is this guy thinking about so hard?

Sanzu didn't even hesitate to pull out his gun and put it on Takemichi's head.

"Don't move, or I'll shoot."

"E-Eh?!"

"Man, you stink like hell! You smelled even back then. Slimly looking mother fucker." There goes Sanzu with his talking show.

"Who... Are you?" Takemichi slowly asked, but got shushed by Sanzu.

Then came in Mikey's footsteps. Walking slowly then sitting on a chair behind Takemichi.

"Listen up, the boss will speak." Sanzu told.

After a few seconds of silence....

"It's the best future, isn't it?" Mikey spoke.

"So, anything you wanna ask?"

"Mikey-kun..." Takemichi sounded like he's crying, which he probably is.

He rummaged his pockets, and took out a letter.

"Here. I want to give you this."

"And that is?"

"An invitation to my wedding.... I want you to come no matter what."

"Everyone is doing well... Just as you promised 12 years ago... Everyone including Hina, is living a happy life..."

He paused.

"Everyone, except for you."

"Hey man, I know you're Mikey and my close friend at all, but shut up or you'll get your head bashed." Rian said over the last sentence he stated.

".... Sanzu, could you leave us three alone. I want to talk to him." Mikey demanded.

"... Got it. I'll be waiting downstairs." He turned and went away by that.

An awkward silence fell. But soon broken by Takemichi asking Mikey about 'dark impulse' .

"Therefore, now it's my turn... To save you." Takemichi stood up.

But who knows as he turned his head, he was shot in the chest, by non other than Mikey.

"Huh...?!"

Mikey pulled the trigger the second time.

And this time, Takemichi fell down. Must've felt so pain.

Mikey stood up, looking at Takemichi. As their eyes met together.

"I didn't wanna meet... Because things would end up like this. Your long journey ends here."

Mikey started walking away. Takemichi looked at Rian, which she only shook her shoulders.

"Save...you...."

"Oi... Stop talking, your wound is already fatal enough." Rian with the last piece of gentleness in her heart, said.

"I will... Save you no matter...what... For you... I'd do this as many times as I could..."

"I will end everything here."

Mikey started walking upstairs. Only Rian knows what is he gonna do as she followed him.

"Oh shit! They're gonna jump!!" A guy from downstairs yelled.

"Mikey?!" Sanzu yelled loud enough as he saw his colleague and his boss on the roof.

Memories started flowing through their minds...

"How's the view from the top?"

"It feels good, doesn't it?"

"Take care of everyone, okay?"

"You got this, Mikey!"

"We'll stay together forever, right?"

"The view from here... Looks like a meeting with Toman from back then, doesn't it?" Rian smiled.

Mikey smiled...

"Everyone, let's do this!!" He yelled.

The two jumped with no hesitation.

"Mikey!! Kiri!!" Sanzu yelled once again, knowing that it's too late.

It's the end...

Life was never fair...

As they were about to accept their faith, someone pulled onto their arms. Looking up, it was Takemichi.

"Mitchy..."

"I will not let you die!! Quick, grab onto my hand!"

"This is dumb..." Rian said.

"I tried killing you, ya know? Yet.." Mikey asked.

"Please, there's not much time left... I'm losing consciousness..."

"Let go... Mikey's gonna end everything here. While I'm going with him as making things unchangeable."

"Please... I'll go back in time... As many times as I can..." Takemichi looks like he's going to faint any time sooner.

"Let go, man. If you faint here, you'll be pulled down together with us." Rian definitely did not wished for him to die because of them.

"What do you mean... You can't go back anymore, right? This is why I never wanted to meet you.. I didn't want this to happen."

"Mikey literally just shot you... Mitchy... Just put us in peace." Rian didn't want to start regret just because of Takemichi.

"Shut up!!" Takemichi yelled...

'Huh... He... Yelled right? His mouth opened wide...'

'I can't hear anything...'

'Ahh... The sleeping pills are only working now...?!'

'Is dying really just... That hard..'

'Just sleep... I don't wanna know what's gonna happen next...'

'Yeah, just sleep... Everything's gonna go black.'

'Everything's... Over.'
