Sixteen.

Weeks later.

It had been weeks since Loona confessed to Yunji. Yunji didn't say much to her back then when she confessed. It left Loona confused and wondering what Yunji thought of Loona.

It was a bit awkward, seeing Yunji in classes. They barely spoke after the whole confession situation. Which really hurt Loona. She couldn't stop over thinking about the fact that maybe that hug was a friendly hug, which showed that Yunji was rejecting Loona and which is why she didn't speak to her at all because maybe Yunji  was not comfortable.

Loona wanted to find the right time to approach her and confront her about the situation. She needed clarity. Loona was obviously confused about what the hug meant. It felt like Yunji accepted  loona but not her feelings, though she couldn't be too sure, which is why loona needed to confront Yunji.

Loona waited for Yunji on the rooftop. Yunji had been nervously walking up the stairs. She opened up the door to the rooftop and slowly walked outside to meet with loona. "Hey you wanted to talk?" Yunji asked.

"Yeah.." Loona responded.

"Sure What's up?" Yunji asked.

"What's up? I'm not sure. You're honestly confusing me. Saying that you wanna be my friend and that you like hanging out with me, but then suddenly becoming distant from me because I opened up to you and told you my feelings I just don't get it. You obviously know what you're doing but I don't understand why you're acting like nothings wrong." Loona said sighing.

" I don't think anything's wrong. Everything's OK I accepted your feelings remember. I just don't know how to talk to you about this or  continue what we started. It's all new to me and I don't want you to dislike me but I'm an idol and you were the one that told me I needed to protect my image, and if we're seen together, my image will be screwed for good."

"There will be no fixing this. I came here to follow my dreams and make sure that my image stays clean and being a lesbian is the biggest scandal there could be out there. I don't want anything to happen to my image. I wanna continue to follow my dream. I didn't know how to tell you this because I didn't want to hurt you. It hurts me to tell you this, but I can't be with you." Yunji said with tears in her eyes.

"You're so complicated you know that?" Loona responded.

"What?" Yunji asks.

" at first you're telling me it's because you don't know where to go from here and then you're telling me you can't be with me can you make up your mind?" Loona said annoyed with tears forming in her eyes.

" I made it clear I like you a lot but that's as far as we can go, we can continue to hang out and be like friends it'll never stop, but it can't be more than that. I need to follow my dream. Sorry." Yunji said coldly walking away.
