Chapter 2

Sophie got up and packed her bag. "Bye mom, bye dad!" she called. "See you tomorrow", Edaline said, while Grady said, "Don't talk to any boys". Edaline told of Grady and Sophie walked up to the leapmaster and said Everglen then she glittered away. 

"You're here!" Biana said as she hugged Sophie. Fitz walked up to her and give her his perfect movie star smile. "Hey Sophie", he said, and Sophie blushed at his crisp accent. "Hi." Sophie blushed again. Just after that, Keefe appeared next to her. "Hey Fitzy and mini-Fitzy. Hey Foster." Sophie rolled her eyes though her mouth twitched into a smile. "Hi Keefe." Soon after everyone had arrived. "Soooo", Biana said, "What should we do?" They talked for a while then decided on base quest.

"I call Foster", Keefe shouted. "Let's do boys vs girls." Marella smirked. "Fineeee", Keefe pouted. They all decided on their positions and their base and Sophie started to run. She saw Keefe behind her and started to run faster when she tripped over a branch. "Shit", she muttered under breath. "Sophie are you ok?" Keefe said as he ran up to her. "Yeah, I'm fine", she said, though when she attempted to stand up, she winced and fell back down. Keefe caught her and carried her bridal style. "Is this better?" Keefe said. "Ye", Sophie replied. She looked up and suddenly realized how close they were. Her heart turned to hummingbird mode, and she felt a fluttery feeling. Keefe brushed a stray hair behind her ear and started to lean in, when Linh rushed over to them. "Sophie we were so worried about you; are you ok and-" Linh hesitated for a second. "Why is Keefe carrying you?" Sophie's whole face turned red. "I... uh...tripped and Keefe is helping me out", she nervously laughed. She jumped out of his arms. "I'm fine now." Keefe's forehead wrinkled though he didn't say anything. 

Dex's POV

They got into their assigned teams for base quest and Dex blushed when he saw Fitz smile at him. Wylie and Keefe picked their designated positions and then said, "Dex, Fitz, you're both guarding the base." Dex's mind switched to panic mode. This would be awkward as hell. Especially because... wellllllll Dex liked Fitz, if that wasn't obvious enough. Though they couldn't get together. Dex had tried to pretend he liked Sophie, and his acting skills must have been pretty damn great since she even kissed him, so he could live his whole life pretending he wasn't gay. No matter how hard that was.

"Heyyyy", Fitz said, dragging the word. "Hi wonderboy", Dex replied. This was going well so far. Fitz chuckled. "The nickname has still stuck, even after all these years." Fitz ran a hand through his hair, making it look even better. "I guess so", Dex replied. "I'm happy that I got to know you better now, and you're not just "Deck" anymore", Fitz said. "I am too", Dex said quietly. "Listen, Dex I -" "GUYS WHERE ARE SOPHIE AND KEEFE OMG ARE THEY MISSING", Biana panted. "I'm sure they're ok", Fitz frowned. "WHATEVER COME ON AND LOOK FOR THEM!" As they walked around the forest to look for them, he couldn't help but wonder what Fitz wanted to say to him...

Tam's POV

They all picked their positions...well actually Keefe, being the most immature elf, he'd ever met. Tam ran when he felt a hand tap him on the back. "Got you", Biana laughed. He turned his head to hide his blushing. Yes, Tam Dai Song, can blush. I know how shocking this is, but it is true. He turned back around and said, "I guess you did". And damn, did she look gorgeous. Her beautiful hair was messed up in the most perfect way and he loved how feisty yet stunning she could be. Though he frowned because she would never be his. He was from Excilum, a twin and a shade and she was practically royalty. 

"What's wrong?" Biana asked. "Nothing", Tam said way too quickly. "Tam, you know you can talk to me", she said tenderly. Suddenly, a feeling took over him. He put his hand on her cheek. He leaned in, leaving a bit of space between them for her to decide. She came closer and their lips brushed when Marella screamed, "WHERE'S SOPHIE!" and Biana and him jumped apart. "Ok we'll look for her." Tam couldn't help but feel annoyed. He was about to kiss the girl of my dreams! But was this fate?

Linh's POV

Linh ran, feeling free spirited and joyful. She knew how weird this was, though running was one of her hobbies and she really enjoyed it. She bumped into a figure. "Oof", she said under her breath, then she looked up. It was Wylie, looking handsome and his skin looked golden in the light. She'd liked him ever since he was kind enough to let her stay with him and now, she was pretty sure it was love. They had also had some...moments though Linh was sure that it didn't mean anything. But what if it did? And she hoped she was right if she thought he liked her back.

"I wonder if I should tag you, or if it's lady's first", Wylie smiled. "We'll see about that", Linh said taking a step closer. "Or we could do something else", Wylie replied. Just like that, his lips met hers and it felt amazing. Her back pressed against the nearest tree and her hands wrapped and her neck. They're lips danced together, in a perfect movement, and she could imagine doing this all day. Soon they heard footsteps and broke apart though she whispered in Wylie's ear to meet her when everyone's asleep.

I have a ton of homework because my final exams are next week though on a better note, our school chose 8 people to be exchange students and go to Japan and I'm one of them!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! it's in 2023. The only problem is that I have to sit next to an annoying boy on a 20 hour flight.
