I was sweating in the chilly month of October. The Mafia king was pissed over the demise of his favorite pet."I am sorry -I" I whispered. Mitch looked at me with more disappointment than shock. He let go of my hand and marched to his screaming father. He was going to complain against me. I immediately look around for a means to escape.
"It was my fault " Mitch claimed.
"You -"the tall man gasped in disbelief. He was not to punish his only son for a dead horse, was he?
But I was completely wrong. He slapped him in front of the whole congregation. My jaws dropped and my eyes stretched wide. It did not stop there- he pointed the gun at his forehead. I froze in my place and my every organ shut down at the horror.
"No. No.No -"I was mumbling. Mitch put his hands up and glanced at me. He did not look frightened but dispaired. Mariah stepped in and stood between the son and the gun.
"Stop it please -" she pleaded. The cruel man melovelantly smiled.
"Kneel."He was not going to forgo that uneasily. He took Mariah away by the waist and signed his guard. He stepped up the dais again.
"You see. This is my son." he pointed to Mitch who was still on his knees. It was so humiliating for me to even look. I felt sorry but I was sure, if I were in Mitch's spot, I wouldn't have lived that long.
"This feeble waif is going to take my place "he announced "But is he worthy ?"
The guests were silent. I could sense fear in each pair of eyes. Weaponed men were surrounding the Mafia boss. Nobody dared to speak.
"No "he shook his head "You are worthless son "
"Boys "he signed two of his men. Those two puppets put their handgun down and began circling Mitch. The viewers just stepped back making a complete rim like a wrestling competition.
"If you defeat my men, Master Marcus Mitchell -You are free to leave. " he laughed. It was so evil that even the sun hid behind the gray clouds.
The two ripped men immediately lunge at the squabbling lonely man.
