Battle Born

Aries POV

Her voice was so nervous on the phone. How can she be cheating on me?

"1,2,3 SHOOT, NOW " I hear my battle mate scream, waving something with his hands.

Ah, that idiot. When will he learn to stop talking? I want to get out of here.

With my fingers clenched around the gun trigger, I feel my body trembling with fear.

Without hesitating, I shoot.

My battle mate yelled-"BOOM done"running to me in celebration.

As I clean my weapon, I say, "I know." in a sarcastic tone

He grabbed a box of bullets from his backpack and asked, "So are you leaving for home on Friday?"

"Yeah, my girlfriend misses me a lot," I smile.

As he puts bullets into the gun, he says, "You are lucky to have someone waiting for you at home."

Looking at him in silence, I do not know what to say or do

Would it be better to apologize or perhaps ask if he would like to talk about it?

We stand there in silents.

After a solemn nod, I walk back to the barracks.

I am suddenly pushed against the barracks wall by someone who grabs my shoulder.

He asked, "Where's my candy?" I left you money in a jar under your bed."

In response, I looked away and answered, "It will come when I see my dealer on Saturday."

His grip tightened as he said, "Fine, I'll give you five more days."

"Mhm," I say quietly.

In a rage, I rushed into the barracks as I felt my breathing get heavier.

Fuck I am so dizzy.

As I get to the barracks, I close the door and lay against the door.

1...2...3 breathe- you can do that Aries.

I take a deep breath in and a short breath out.

It will be just fine.

It will be okay

Pisces POV

" 324, 325, and 326, our new Student Council president has been announced. Congratulations Pisces Elrod!"

Can you believe I won? Don't act patronizing Pisces don't act patronizing.

My first act of honor was to shake the hand of the former student council president and accept flowers.

I smiled.

 I don't even know how proud I am of myself.

He stands out to me when I look into the audience.

What the hell is he doing here?

"Our new president of the Student  Council is reading the traditional oath." I heard the principal say

I only had one thought of running away in my head.

So I did.
