Amara had just reached the living room couch when Bitterbat appeared on top, perched like a gargoyle. Apparently, the solution Amara had come up with to get rid of the lewd novel was to hide it under one of the cushions. The idea was so ridiculous yet adorable that Bitterbat had to laugh at the sight.
"I think I'm starting to rub off on ya' Sweetie Pie. That was quite the dirty trick you pulled." He purred as he watched Amara back up. She clutched the book to her chest and was determined to keep it out of his reach.
"I learned from the best, after all." Amara replied with a confident smile that made Bitterbat lick his lips. There was something about that look of determination on his girlfriend's face as a civilian and not a superhero that gave him butterflies in his stomach.
"Thanks for the compliment, but I'm not letting flattery get the best of me again." He chuckled before he leapt off the couch towards Amara.
She yelped in surprise before dive rolling away. Bitterbat snarled as he landed on empty space instead of his beautiful girlfriend. Amara sat in a crouch on the floor as she watched the monstrum shift to all fours. There was a primal look was in his eyes that made her question if he was still focused on retrieving his book. Quickly, Amara got to her feet. However, the sudden burst of movement set Bitterbat's hunting instincts off and he pounced again. This time, he hit his mark...somewhat as his arms wrapped around Amara's legs, sending her back to the ground with a thud.
She grunted as she landed on her arm, sending the book sliding across the hardwood. Immediately, Bitterbat's forgot about his Monstrum instincts and raised himself up from Amara. His expression was replaced with nothing but worry and guilt as he checked her over.
"Ah! Sweetie Pie, are you okay!? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" He climbed further up, his body eclipsing his smaller girlfriend. The contrast in his behavior made Amara giggle, a sound that lifted the weight from Bitterbat's shoulders.
"Don't worry Batty, a small fall isn't enough to break me." Amara smiled at him and for a couple seconds, the two forgot what they were scuffling about in the first place. That was, until Amara realized her hands were empty. Bitterbat's eyes wandered before it landed on the nsfw novel.
There was a brief period of silence before the two snapped back into action. Amara tried to grab the book but it was too far out of reach. And with Bitterbat being on top of her, he simply just had to raise himself up and over to snatch it up. A sharp-toothed grin rested on his face as he finally had his pornographic possession back.
That victory was short lived as a bright pink glow illuminated from under the monstrum. He blinked a couple times as his attention shifted back to his girlfriend, who was now a hot pink magical girl.
Bitterbat could practically hear the boxing bell ding in his head for round two as she pushed him off her with increased strength. Some of the air left him as he tumbled onto his back and he barely had time to process the power switch before Sweetheart was straddling his waist.
"S-Sweet Pea, is it really necessary for you to go magical on me?" Bitterbat was amused at the petty move. He had joked before that he was rubbing off on her but this was definitely a sign his habits were leaving some impact. Before, his girlfriend wouldn't resort to such a childish tactic just for some book. But she had become more and more playful over the months he had returned.
Sweetheart simply smiled down at her boyfriend. Her eyes shone bright pink as they locked with his. "I'm just making the playing field more even, Batty. A human versus a Monstrum is a pretty unfair fight. But a hero versus a villain," Sweetheart leaned in closer and Bitterbat had to swallow back some salivation as his heart thumped hard in his chest. The magical girl continued, her voice deeper and more sultry. "That's a good classic match-up."
