Face The Sun - Sunghoon ✓

ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 6

The game started and we're all running to the ennemies' base. Jake, Heejin and me are running together through the trees discreetly on the side of the field.

- Nobody's on this side of their base. Jake whispers to us.

- Isn't it weird ? Heejin says, frowning.

He shrugs his shoulders.

We start walking again looking for the object of the opposing team and trying not to be seen by the defense team of Jiyun.

We hear screams by our team side. Maybe someone has been catched.

Looking through the trees, I spot something orange in a bush. I point to the shape to show it to Jake and Heejin. Their eyes widen and we walk faster to the shape. We look around us and when we see that no one's here, we try to take the orange thing but... we hear a cracking noise near us.

We look at each other, surprised. 

- Get ready to run. Jake tells us quietly and we nod.

I keep trying to pick up the object but when I finally almost get it, we hear another noise closer. I'm touching it, but why can't I take it ? Uh, it's too far. I push my arm a little deeper into the bush and take the thing then quickly take my arm out.

Ok, I'll count to 3 and we'll run. I say showing them the orange stick. One, two, three !

We stand up but then, two people come out of a nearby tree and run after us. I turn my head to see who is it, Jangmi and Sunghoon. Wow, they're running very fast ! It's my time to shine, so I speed up and pass in front of my teammates. And so did Sunghoon when I turn the head for the second time.

Ok, let's look behind for the third and last time ! And he's getting closer and closer, uh.

- Run Dahee, let's gaur ! I can hear Jake screaming to me.

Oh shit what's that ? I hit a branch in the head and stumble trying to free myself. Sunghoon, being right behing me, is going through the exact same thing. We fall one after the other on the wet ground.

- Dahee, we're coming, hold the stick tight, don't let him take it ! Heejin screams.

I do as she tells me and roll into a ball, putting the stick against my stomach, arms around.

A hand is trying to take it, surely Sunghoon, but I just hold the stick tighter.

- Come on, let go of it ! He chuckles.

I'm waiting for Jake and Heejin to come and when they're here, I straighten up quickly and throw the orange thing directly at Heejin.

Jake and Heejin run as fast as they can and I just lie in the grass, breathless and trusting them. Now, I'm sure we'll win. 

- I didn't know you were running so fast. Sunghoon says, lying down and being breathless too.

I look at him and smile.

I know I can be surprising sometimes. I wiggle my eyebrows.

- Anyway, are you okay ? We fell after all. He asks, looking away.

I'm good, and you ?

- I'm good too but I guess we'll have to take a shower before we eat. He laughs.

I laugh and try to get up. I rub my knees, full of grass and dirt and reach out to Sunghoon to help him up. He take my hand while smiling and rub his clothes in turn.

Let's see if I won ! I gently nudge him in the arm.

He rolls his eyes and nudges me back. We start to run to my base to see the result.

- Oh, why are you full of dirt ? Sungjung asks us when we join the group.

We fell. I smile awkwardly and he nods.

- Dahee ! WE WON ! Jake comes towards us, screaming and jumping. We told the team how you protected the object from his hands.

Sunghoon rolls his eyes playfully while going to his team.

- Everyone ! Let's announce the winning team ! Sungjung calls us.

We all gather in front of him.

- The winning team is... Ni-ki's team !

The team come by his side and Heeseung and Jungwon are pretending to cry.

- Let's clap for Sunghoon and Dahee who had to face the dirt for the victory of their respective team !

Everyone claps and Sunghoon come beside me, bowing like a celebrity.

- I'm sorry, I have no price for the winners but I guess the taste of victory is good too ! Take your bags, we're going back to the camp !

I go to take my bag and go to Heejin.

- Good job, teammate. I smile. But how could you resist the urge to get up straight instead of rolling in the dirt.

The desire to win I guess ?

We're all starting to walk through the trees, talking about the game.

- You two, go take a quick shower, the others do what you want to do until it's time to eat.

I go into the house and take my shower things and clean clothes straight away, losing no time. I guess all the girls came into the house because I start to hear voices.

- Don't you think she's always trying to take all the attention ? So she's never going to leave my back ? 

- Jia, stop being jealous of Dahee, she did nothing wrong ! I hear Heejin's voice.

- Why are you defending her, Heejin ? You've only known her for what, two days ?

- See, you're being jealous ! Heejin's voice fades away and the front door slams shut.

I finish taking my shower as if I heard nothing and go out dried and dressed. The atmosphere in the room is awkward but I don't care and walk out of the house when I've put my things down and picked up my phone.
