Face The Sun - Sunghoon ✓

We're all dressed up to go to the beach. I feel like I'm going to take some time to take away the towel that is around me. I've never went swimming with people I don't know so I'm a bit embarrassed.

We are all wearing flip-flops, our swimsuit and a backpack with a bottle of water, sunglasses and an other towel.

Sungjung warned us the sun was really strong and we had to put a LOT of suncream to not look like lobsters so, now, we look more like vampires.

When we arrived at the beach, the sand was very hot and the sun hit us on the face as soon as we came out the forest.

- Everyone ! Sungjung stops us. This year, we have a place just for us ! It's just as big as what we need but it's good anyway.

- Ooh, so they finally made something new in 5 years... Jia mutters while we start walking again.

Backpacks on the sand and everyone ready to dive into the water, we are listening to the explanations of our guide. I know nobody is really listening him and we are all just really excited.

- No question ? Nobody's answering. Ok then... Let's go !

At that time everybody take their towel and flip-flops off and just run to the water. At the same time, I tell myself that nobody will laugh at me and I do the same as the others.

I feel like in a morning, I got closer to the friends I made today than the friends I already have for longer. Like, I think I would be less comfortable with my long-time friends. Maybe because they know me more ?

Anyway, right now, everybody throws water to somebody and some are fighting and falling. I come closer to the boys, not knowing what to do.

Hey !

- Hey Dahee ! Sunoo says. You want to join us ?

Uh... Yeah ? Yeah !

- Cool ! What do you want to do ?

I don't know, I laugh, anything, I don't care.

- Guys ! Dahee want to join us !

The boys turn their head towards me.

- Yeah sure ! Jungwon says.

They come closer to me.

- What about taking the ball ? Heeseung suggests.

Jay nods and runs out of the water to get the ball from his backpack.

While we are waiting for him, we stood in a circle and he comes a few seconds later.

- Maybe we can do a dodge ball ? Ni-ki says.

I'm the strongest at this game ! Be careful guys...

- I AM the strongest what are you saying ? Sunghoon cuts me off.

Then, we'll see. I say with a little smile.

We're starting to make teams and I'm obviously against Sunghoon.

Heeseung, Jungwon, Jay and I make a team while Jake, Sunoo, Ni-ki and Sunghoon make another one.

- Are you ready ? Heeseung says.

- YEAH ! We all answer.

He moves forward to the middle of the field (made of water obviously) and put the ball on the water. He returns to his position and then...

- 3, 2, 1... He claps his hands and we all started swimming towards the ball.

Ni-ki takes the ball, I suddenly go back under the water and he throws it to Jay who catches it in mid-flight. I came out of the water and I call out for Jay to throw me ball, which he does. I catch it and throw it quickly on Jake who's not fast enough to dodge it. My team cheers me on while Jake moves forward to his 'prison'.

The game is very exciting with these guys because they're very fast.

As I eliminate all of the boys in the other team, all the boys in mine are eliminated too. Sunghoon is the only one remaining, it's between him and me.

He's very hard to touch because he moves faster than me but I'm smaller so, I have an advantage too.

But when he makes a careless mistake, I directly touch him and I finally win.

I move towards him to shake hands.

You played well ! I say to him.

- You too... But I'll take my revenge. He says with a smirk.

Sure, whenever you want !

He laughs and I go to my team. We do a little celebration before we all get together to eat a little on the beach.

I have my towel around me, being a bit cold. I eat some cookies that I took from home, made by my father. I'm a bit shaking and Heejin sees it.

- Hey, Dahee, are you cold ?

Yeah, a bit.

- Do you want an other towel ? I have one if you want.

Oh no, that's ok-

Something gets in the way of my gaze. A towel ? I turn around, raise my head and see Sunghoon standing behind me and handing me his towel.

- Take it, I don't need it. He says while drinking the bubble tea he just bought.

I really don't need it, thank you.

He takes the towel that is on my shoulders and put his instead.

Are you serious ?

- You're freezing. Don't tell me you don't feel warmer now.

You're right... Thank you ! I say with an awkward smile.

I could have just taken Heejin's... Here I am, with the towel of a boy I've just met around me, yay ! But, thinking about it, it's comfortable... Anyway, just be happy Dahee, you're not in a soaked thing anymore !

After we finished eating, we returned to the houses to take showers and get changed. When all the boys are in their house, I discreetly come to their terrace and put the towel on a thread where a few towels are already.

Then I go to my house. I take my shower first because I told the girls that I won't take long.

As I said, I took exactly six minutes to shower, get changed and style my hair a bit, even tho it's short. Waiting for the 'shower time' to end, I take my phone that I haven't touch at all and look at my notifications.

A text from my mother, "Hey Dahee, do you have fun with the people who are traveling with you ? Call me if you can !" As she asked, I call her to give her news of my day. I talk about the girls, the boys, the dodge ball game and about how good the trip is going.
