A/N sorry for the inactivity for the last 2 years, post-secondary is a bitch for personal time. anyway, this kinda just came out of my head, and I figure "might as well post it", so here you go. hope you enjoy ^_^
She lay there
in bed, as stars shimmer overhead.
He to her back, and she to his front
his hand on her waist with hers overtop.
Nothing happens, they merely embrace each other's presence.
She feels safe in his grasp, so warm and gentle
he feels content, holding her in his arms.
He lay there
in a bed so small, they can barely move at all.
She shifts in his arms, turning to face her strength
he lets her move, shifting himself to support her weight.
Nothing happens, she rests her head on his chest.
He breathes deep, enjoying her sweet smell
she does the same, embracing his welcoming scent.
He lays his hand on her back, she lay hers on his front.
He feels pride, knowing her trust is hardly won.
She feels loved, knowing he does anything to protect her.
And they lay there together.
