After I walked home and drank bourbon like a man would water after a 4k marathon, I slept harder than ever. When I awoke, I called in the police chief, who was the only man over Johnny, and called in. I told him I was sick, but really, I had a lot to do today. Someone once said something along the lines of "It only takes one bad day to turn a good man bad" or some shit like that, but imma see if a new one would apply. "It only takes one man one day with one hell of a determination to topple an empire. Last night, I charged both mine and Johnny's phone so I could fill in and keep his death an unknown for a while. I got my keys, Johnny's keys, my trench coat, fedora, a pair of sunglasses, and a pair of leather gloves and hit the road. I pulled up to Johnny's house after I quickly GPS-ed his address from his license, and I walked as inconspicuously as I could and walked in. Johnny had a one story house, two beds, one bathroom house, the kitchen and living room looked exquisite. The living room had a seventy-five-inch flat screen television, a leather couch, an L-shaped couch around a coffee table, and a lovely chandelier. The kitchen had a marble island, four burner stoves, a wine rack with about fifty slots for bottles with two missing, and possibly the biggest refrigerator I've seen in my life. After I stopped appreciating the finer taste of the man I killed I made my way to the bedrooms, I walked past the kitchen into a medium-sized hallway, passed the bathroom and there was two doors on the left and right side. I opened the left and assumed it to be the guest bedroom by the made-up bed with extra blankets on it, so I left it to open the right door. When I opened it up and was taken away but the pure visual testosterone of the room. A double queen-sized bed with silk sheets, a furry blanket with a wolf pattern, under a big quilt, with about five pillows on it. There was a night table on each side and on top of a lamp and on the left side a Bose alarm clock. The rest of the room had another huge television, a beanbag chair, four gun mounts on the wall closest to the hallway filled with an AR-15 with a red dot sight, and a .308 bolt action hunting rifle with what I thought was an 8x scope, a  semiautomatic Benelli shotgun, and an MP5 that had that third pin in. All I could think was, "Holy shit I thought you were the low-key money spender. What the hell was you busting Trevor's balls for paying rent?" But I needed to check his night tables for any information. I checked the one on the far side, and each table had one drawer, and this one to no surprise had two small baggies, one with pot and another, which I assume was cocain. Well, that at least explains the erratic behavior. In another drawer was a snub nose .38 revolver and a note with a phone number and a sticky note with the word waffles on it. I took the note and stuffed it into my pocket and left the house. "Excuse me, deary." I heard a weak, high-pitched voice, and I jumped and turned to see a elderly white lady. She was slightly under five feet, dress pants, and a thick pair of glasses on, hilding a leash with a Doberman. "Sorry, mam, you startled me. Is there anything I can do for ya?" She had a grin on her face. "This is Mr. Johnny's dog I was watching him for a bit while he had a business trip, but I'm about to go to church. Is he home so I can bring Barbra home?" It took me a second to answer, I couldn't believe how well Johnny blended into the  community and to have have alibis. "He had come down with a bug, but I can bring him inside for you, mam."   I took the leash and brought the dog inside, went into the kitchen, and found the dog food. "I'm sorry, girl. I gotta leave you. I hope you can get out, but it makes his death more solid if the dog doesn't get attacked." I left the bag open on the floor to make it look like the dog got it herself and left the house and got in my car. I pulled out Johnny's phone and opened up the contacts and found Kevin's name, and decided to shoot him a text. "By yourself, meet me behind the Blue Whale diner in the alley in two hours. THIS IS URGENT." As I go to put the phone back into my pocket, but it vibrated. I loom at it and a text from an unknown number read. "Is the double date with your new clients still ago? Are we still paying for both?" Damn that son of a bitch lied, me and Tessa was gonna be killed in the attack, motherfucker I'm glad I killed you. I just text back, "it's off too much heat." I start to panic but I couldn't take to long I had to get to that diner to meet with Kevin, but right as I went to put the car in reverse I feel another short burst of vibrations from my pocket. It was Johnny's phone, that unknown number texted back. "Well, we can order for you what would you want for breakfast?" My brain went spiraling as I search for a answer to give this man to save Tess' and myself from hired guns, then I thought of waffles. The sticky note could be a reminder for himself after he got high or drunk that was his reminder to call it off, it must be it. I reply waffles, the text was seen from what the phone said under the text, and no reply. So I thought it was off so I drove off and was ready to meet this Kevin character. It took me about an hour and forty-five minutes to get to the diner due to the bad traffic. I get out and wait. While waiting I lit up a smoke and that first deep drag of the strong non-menthol tobacco made me feel damn near comatose but quickly sobered up after I heard footsteps heading my way. It was a man about five foot nine, a buck sixty, with short cut hair, and typical biker attire, jeans, leather vest, with a black shirt with a skull design on it. But his face read confused as he spoke. "H-hey Sean, where is J-Johnny at?" I slowly approached him as I reached in my pocket and took out a five-inch pocket knife. "Now stay calm and I won't have to use this I swear all I wanna do is talk." I was about six feet from him when he tried to start walking backwards before I lunged at him and with my left hand grabbed his wrist that was going behind his back and with my right elbow I placed it under his throat and pressed him against the wall of the diner. As he hit the wall back first I heard a metallic sound bounce two times on the ground. When I looked down I saw Smith and Wesson 5.7 handgun. "OK Kev we can let this go if you do something for me ok?" Kevin barely nodded not trying to speak because of how close the knife was to his throat. "I need the address to every single member of Trevor's bikers, for you to set up a one-on-one meeting with Trevor two days from now at the lighthouse by Sandra Beach, and a meeting with every bike in the club at y'alls bar three days from now. Ya follow me?" Kevin did another half nod. "OK I am going to pull the knife away from your throat and if you even make me think you are going to scream I will slit your throat to your ass. When I move the blade repeat every word I said verbatim so I know we have an understanding." At this point, I hope Kevin didn't have anything in his bladder before he came here because I'd hate to have my boots ruined by piss. I back the blade up but keep close to Kevin not for an easy way to strike, but an easy way to strike fear into this man as I stared into his eyes and saw fear for his life. "Y-you wa-want the address to everyone in M-Mr. Maddix's biker club, y-you want a one-on-one meeting with Mr. M-Maddix in two days at the lighthouse off Sandra beach, a-and then a meeting with all of the bikers at the bar I-in three days." The angry face I was wearing turned into a smile as I put the knife in my pocket and smiled. "Good I'm glad we have an understanding, now let's have some food." Kevin shook his head so fast in confusion the sweat flew from his brow. "W-what Mr.-" "Sean will do Kev, can I call you Kev, Kevin? While I get you to write those addresses for me the absolute least I can do is buy myself and you some food. C'mon let's go eat, I mean why did you think I picked a diner for this meat up." Kevin just stood in confusion as I smiled bent over, picked up his pistol, and offered it to him my hand on the barrel so he could grab the grip. He stared at it like the gun was a cobra waiting to strike. "Don't worry, Kev, it won't bite." Kevin hesitates before taking the pistol and stuffing it behind his belt. "Well let's eat, my treat. What do ya say Kev." Kevin looked confused until he met my eye that might as well have said "This was not a request." "Yea sure why not Mr.- I ugh mean Sean." I put my hand on his back and we walk into the dinner and sit in a booth, my back against the wall his to the public. I order a burger and fries, while Kevin ordered a country-fried streak with gravy and mashed potatoes. We sat in silence besides asking the waitress for refills on our beverages until Kevin broke the silence. "So Sean, what are you planning to do?" Right then our food arrived and I picked up my burger before I take my first bike I say. "I plan on 'removing' Maddix as CEO and performing a hostile takeover if necessary. I'd prefer it didn't come to that, but I will be ready for the worst possible outcome." "Why though, what will Johnny think?" I set my burger on my plate and stare at him, and all I see is fear, and all he sees is a man with nothing to lose. "I already took over his branch of the company, and now I'm on a crusade until I have a monopoly in this territory. I'd like to do that without a teetotal blood bath, but crack some eggs to make the omelet. And this is one HUGE fucking omelet. I'd like for you to be apa-." -CLICK- . Just as I thought, the bastard tried to shoot me under the table. I thought he would try something like this, I had a contentency plan. I looked at Kevin, and his face was drained of any color, but pearl white. "Now listen to me, Kev. I knew that your ass would try something like that, which is why I hit the mag release and barley had the magazine sticking out. That was part one. Two, I notice you biker types aren't to keen to follow gun safety, and one of the core four rules is to keep the safety on until you are ready to shoot. But y'all never really use the safety, so you would assume your gun would be ready to fire. And three." -CLICK- I already had my revolver aimed at his stomach, but now I've pulled the hammer back, got even quieter than we previously was, and peered into his soul with my eyes. "So we can rather A shoot at each other until one of us or possibly both of us die, but you have one round ready to fire, and I have six. Your nine mill vs. my .357 snub. Or there is option B you hand me your pistol under the table and we leave here together and begin the cutting of the fat and get ready to make a shit, no, a FUCK ton of money. Now you have five seconds to say yes before I begin to squeeze my trigger. Five fou-" Kevin cut me off with a wease of a yes, and then I felt the grip of his pistol hit my left knee, and with my left hand, I reached under the table grabbed his pistol and shoved it behind my waste band of my pants and put my revolver back into my shoulder sling. I just stared at Kevin for about two minutes and then gave a nod. We both stood up and I left a fiffty dollar bill on the table and we headed to the door and I nodded at our waitress and told her to 'have a good day' she smiled at me and we left the diner. We then took a trip to my car, and Kevin was reluctant at first to get in the vehicle with me until I tapped on my coat where my gun was, and then he couldn't get in faster. "We aren't going anywhere at this very moment, Kevin, until you give me one last thing." Kevin lowered his shoulders and gave a sigh. "What now, I just gave you all the addresses of all of the brothers and sisters I ride with, am about to set two different meeting up for you and am more than likely already helped you kill my boss, what more could you possibly want?" I took a deep breath and looked the man in the eyes and just simply and calmly said. "Your word. Your word that you'll do what I say. Because your word is your contract with me." Kevin replied with. "If I break my word?" I zero in on his gaze. "Then I kill your lover in front of you, then I turn and kill you." He looked at me confused, but confusion wasn't the first reaction he gave me. For a half of a split second, I saw in his eyes fear, surprised, and understanding. He couldn't tell if I caught it or not, so he continued to play dumb. "What lover Sean? I'm single, I don't have no lady friend." I grinned a grin that sent chills down his spine. "I know you don't have a GIRL friend, but you do love Brad with all your heart, and with that broken knee of his, he wouldn't be too much of a fight." Kevin's face went back and forth from anger and sadness. "If you ever touch Brad, I'll find a way to kill yo-." I put my hand up cutting him off. "Then don't break your word, and all your worries are gone. Because I know how if those testosterone narrow brained mongrels ever found out about your little secret how they would tease, harass, and / or even beat you for loving who you love. Hell, I've seen how Trevor Maddix treats certain people. How he feeds black people last, if you're over the age of fiffty and can't fight or shoot how he could care less about your health. So I could imagine how he'd treat you. See, that's the difference between me and Maddix. I don't care that you're a fruit or if you're a certain color or a certain age as long as you can make me and the people that follow me money. After you prove your loyalty and ability to make money, then I'll treat who ever like royalty." I saw the wheels turning in Kevin's brain. "But how can you just make people act a certain way after all these years of living care free life?" I gave out a small chuckle. "Easy, give a warning. After someone ignores the warning, shoot him or her like a dog rinse and repeat. People will understand that once I take over, it will be my way or the die way. Ha ha, ya like that, I thought it was a good one. But back to being serious, they're gonna be some simple rules under my regime. Don't murder fellow men without a cause, don't steal from each other, don't rape each other, and if I even think you are gonna run to the authorities, which I probably will nun next, then I will kill you and your immediate family. It's as simple as that." Kevin sat there just thinking, after two or three minutes went by Kevin nodded. "You have my word." I nodded back and offered a hand, and he shook it. "Ight well get to it and I'll give you a call." He left the car, and I drove off back home.
