The next day in the middle of 1st period I got called down to the principals office. "Hello Brenda." Mrs. Nargis said to me. "Hello ma'am"
"It's only the second day of school and you're getting into fights, tsk tsk" did that girl snitch on her? She didn't even know her! "What do you mean by that, ma'am?"
"Well yesterday after school, Samantha Edwards came her and told me that you slapped her because she was stating her religious belief."
"But ma'am, she was calling me and my friend I quote 'faggots' and 'fags that are going to burn in hell'. Ma'am, she was judging us on our sexuality. And if you didn't know, that is not 'freedom of speech' ma'am."
"Oh my. Is this true?"
"Yes ma'am. My friend Linda was there with me."
"Linda who?"
"Lindane Smith"
"Ok, I'll have her and Samantha down here to talk about this." Am I going to get in trouble for slapping her? Ugh I just need Linda.
A couple minutes later Linda and Samantha were down with me. Linda sat next to me and I held her hand to not bite my nails. "Ok Miss Samantha, please tell your side of the story."
"Ok, it all started yesterday. I was walking on the field with my friends when Linda and Brenda came out of nowhere, slapped me and ran away calling me a loser."
"Ok. Now your turn Brenda"
"Ok. So me and Linda were laying on the field looking at the clouds and we were holding hands and then we hear 'Faggots! Faggots!' So I got up to see who said it and I see her and two other girls. I told them to stop using that word because its offensive and she called me a dyke and fag and said were going to hell. But when she said fag again I slapped her kinda hard and she ran away and tripped on her heels."
"Ok then. Now Linda."
"I was laying down with Brenda and we were holding hands then I hear people calling us faggots. And I was super sad because people always called me that. And I was so happy Brenda stood up for us. And she did slap her."
"Ok, I see it now. Since it wasn't during school hours I'm letting you Brenda off the hook and Samantha you're getting a lunch detention with me for the next few days." Samantha looked at her like she was an alien. "Ugh!" She muttered as she stormed out. "As for you too I want to to come to me if anyone disgraces you guys in anyway." I was so relieved that someone was on our side.
Later that day when we were at lunch a lot of people were looking at us. "Hey Nick, why are they staring at us?"
"Oh yea. Forgot to tell you, everyone thinks you guys are dating and so now we're not the only gay couple." Oh. Wow. Such a Samantha thing to do. Later in lunch we got asked by this dude who was obviously dared to ask us if we're dating because of the snickering group of 3 boys. He asked me and I said "yea. We're totally dating."
"Can I watch?" He said
"Oh. Me kiss my girlfriend?" He nodded. "Ok then. Come here babe" I said to Linda and we closed our eyes and kissed. He walked away hiding his junk from an obvious boner. We laughed when he walked away. Then Linda stopped. I tried to ask her what's wrong but I didn't get to finish my sentence because she grabbed me and we kissed again but for longer. "So is the rumor true?" I joked. "I guess haha" we smiled and finished our food. We went our separate ways to go to 5th period.
After school we went to the field and laid there and held hands. Then Samantha came. And the least to say was that I was not happy. "Hey fags" she greeted us. I got up, kicked her in the crotch, elbowed her back and pinned her to the ground. But of course that was only in my head. "Hello Satan. Oh wait, sorry, Samantha." And she kicked me in the nose. I went back a short distance. But I was almost unconscious. Linda screamed. "Come on. Let's bounce." Samantha said. My nose was definitely broken. Linda got up and ran towards Samantha and jumped and stuck her legs out and drop kicked Samantha. "That's my girl!" I yell. She runs over to me and pulls out her phone. She dials 911 and within minutes an ambulance comes. When we're all set up Linda kisses me and I pass out.
