<<And all the roads we have to walk are winding>>
Skyler's P.O.V.
"I'm sorry, sweetie, but your parents are dead." A police officer tells me. "NO. NO THEYRE NOT WHY ARE YOU LYING TO ME." I slam the door and slowly slid down a wall, tears running down my cheeks. I looked up to see Nat, Tony, Bruce, Steve, Clint, and Thor looking at me. "Nobody wants you here." Steve hissed. "Nobody likes you, nobody will ever like you." Tony sneers. "You're a freak, Sky. You're not even human." Nat says smirking. "Probably why her parents left her, oh wait they're freaks too." Clint says. And all of them started laughing chanting, "Sky is a freak. Sky is a freak. Sky is a freak...Sky is a...Sky is...Sky..Sky..SKY. SKY WAKE UP."
I wake up to someone shaking me. I open my eyes to see Nat. I stood up abruptly causing me to hit my head. "Fuck." I hissed. I heard someone say 'language.' But I don't know who. Probably Tony. "Sorry to wake you, Sky. But we're here." Nat tells me with a small smile. "Where's here?" I ask. I looked out the ship and saw fields of grass and trees rolling endlessly with a single farm house not too far away.
"We are at a safe house." Clint says. Out of everyone, he seems to be the only one who wants to get out of the ship. I looked and noticed everyone was shaken up, well everyone except Clint. They saw me staring at them and Tony muttered a single name, "Witchy."
I understood why Clint was so eager to get out, to us it's a safe house, a hideaway, somewhere to rest our heads but to him, it was home. As we entered, a lovely woman, who was heavily pregnant and must be his wife, greeted Clint. "That's an agent." Stark whispered to me. As he said that, two kids came out. "Those are...smaller agents." Stark insisted. She went to Nat and gave her a hug. Nat bent down to her tummy and said, "Hi. Little Girl." "Actually, it's a boy." Clint's wife says. "Traitor." Nat whispered. We all looked at her ridiculously. "Some secrets are meant to be kept." Nat says with a smile. The woman who introduced herself as Laura came to me with a gentle smile. "You must be Skyler? Clint tells me a lot about you." She says with a smile. "All good things hopefully. Oh and it's Sky" She gave me a hug and whispered, "All good things."
Their two kids ran up to me, "Can you play with us?" They ask me wide eyed. "Oh no, honey. Sky must be very tired. " Laura tells her kids. "No. It's fine, come on you two." I look at them with a small smile. "YAY!" They both shouted as they dragged me up their room.
I went up the kids' room and we started playing different games. Everything from hide and seed to building blocks and we even colored pictures. "How can you do that?" Nicole asked me as she stared at me in awe. "What, sweetie?" I ask looking at her. She simply just points at the floating blocks. Hm, I didn't know I was doing that. "You know how you're dad can shoot arrows perfectly and pretty much never miss?" I ask her and she nodded a yes. "Well that's kinda like what I'm doing now for me. If your dad's power is shooting arrows perfectly, mine would be this." I tell her with a smile.
Laura went up their room and called the kids for their bath.

After dinner, I was sitting on the bed in the room I shared with Steve. There weren't enough rooms in the house for all of us to sleep separately so we all had to share a room with someone. Nat and Bruce wanted to share and Tony didn't want to share with anyone, so that left me and Steve. I honestly didn't mind, I considered Steve as my older brother. An older brother with more than 70 years between us, but still older brother. And after ten minutes of debating and me saying that I was perfectly fine with sleeping on the floor, Steve didn't give up and I finally gave in saying that I would take the bed.
I sat on the bed looking at an old picture of me and my parents. It was the last time we went to the beach. A local took it of us and we didn't even know she was there, it was completely candid. My parents were looking down at me lovingly and I was looking up at them smiling. I felt tears prick my eyes, threatening to fall.
"Gracie?" I automatically knew it was Steve since he is the only one to call me Grace, let alone Gracie, he only did it when it was us though. "Yeah?" I answered with a shaky voice. He saw me crying and automatically asked, "What's wrong?" He saw the picture I was holding and pulled me into a hug. "You miss them, don't you?" He asks, I just nodded my head. We stayed like that for a while, just him holding me. "You okay now?" He asks. "Yeah." I responded meekly. Sometimes all you need is a good hug. "You should get some sleep kiddo, we are going to Korea." He says while ruffling my hair.
Steve takes his little spot on the floor. "Hey, Steve?" I call. "Yeah, Gracie?" He asks. "Thank you." I tell him. "Well, I am figuratively your older brother so..." Inside joke, don't ask. "Hey Steve, You sure-" "Grace, I am perfectly fine with my spot on the floor." He says. "Okay. Goodnight." "Goodnight, kiddo."

I spent about an hour or so tossing and turning, trying to go to sleep. I just had to overthink the events of earlier. Word of advice, don't leave me in a quiet room or I will overthink things.
My mind wandered to the events in Africa and a certain silver haired speedster came in mind. I had to admit though, he's attractive. I mean if he wasn't with Ultron, like seriously damn. I didn't ponder on his looks so much because the thing that my mind won't let go of was the battle and moment between us. He had it. He had his chance to kill me, one less avenger to worry about. So why didn't he?
