As Lila walked into the train, she was pointed towards the first year section by an older student.

This past week of Remus ignoring her had taught her something very important; she was far too reliant on her older brother! Whenever she thought of Hogwarts before, she had always thought she would hang out with Remus and his friends, but that was obviously not the case now.

And what had she honestly thought, that she would just hide behind her brother forever? Wasn't she the one who wanted to make her own way in the world, she couldn't do that if she always relied on Remus to give her the confidence to make connections.

It was with these thoughts in mind that Lila set forth on a mission–she would make a friend even if they were horribly fake and mean!

The mission met an early hiccup in the fact that Lila had gotten on the train too early and most of the compartments were empty. She walked down the aisles twice...still nothing.

Lila stopped to consider going back outside to find someone to talk to, when something collided with her back. She only just managed not to fall by grabbing onto the wall for balance.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" a frantic voice said behind her. Lila turned to see a girl who looked to be about the same age as Lila herself. The girl's pale face was flushed red and concern marred her features. The flower crown that was sitting on her pale hair had gone crooked. She bent down to pick up a bag that Lila had dropped, "I should have been looking where I was going!"

"No, it was my fault. I shouldn't have just stopped in the middle of the aisle." Lila said with a laugh as she took the bag offered to her.

The concern fell from the girl's face and she smiled warmly, "Are you a first year too?"

"I am," Lila replied, "your crown has gone crooked," Lila pointed out.

"Oh, thanks. Do you want to sit together?" she said brightly. "I'm Pandora by the way. Pandora Malfoy."

"I'd love to. I'm Lila Lupin," Lila replied and the two settled into a compartment.

"Are you nervous?" Pandora asked.

"A bit," Lila admitted. "I honestly didn't want to come here in the first place but my family seems to think it's for the best."

"Are they muggles?" Pandora asked as she tilted her head. Lila tensed, Remus had told her that some of the wizards might look down on them because they weren't "pure-bloods." But, there didn't seem to be anything in Pandora's expression other than pure curiosity.

"My mum is, my dads a wizard though."

"Oh that's so cool, so you know all about muggles then?" Pandora asked, eagerly leaning towards Lila, grabbing onto her forearm for balance.

Lila jumped at the sudden movement before realising that the girl posed no threat. "I guess so?" Lila said with a bewildered laugh.

"That's so cool! I love muggle culture and stories but my parents don't like me looking at that stuff." Pandora said with a pout.

Lila reached out to righten the flower crown that had gone astray again.

Lila sighed with fake defeat, "What do you want to know?"

Pandora's pout was replaced by open enthusiasm. "I love muggle fairy tales, don't you? What's your favourite?"

"Cinderella I suppose."

"Why?"

"I like her dress?"

"Huh? Well yes it's nice I suppose, but with regards to the story, what's your favourite? Mine's Alice in Wonderland."
