"Again?!"
Charlie huffed as she folded her arms, though she couldn't help but grin as Spencer began to reset the pieces.
"One day, one fucking day, Spencer Reid, I will beat you."
"You know," he chuckled as he grabbed the pieces she had knocked out, "I think I'd have a better time believing you if I hadn't just won six games in a row."
Charlie shook her head, pushing the chessboard to the side of her dining table, gently as to not make any of the pieces topple over. "Let's play a different game."
"Would you prefer one where there's no winner?" he called as she got up towards the stack of board games she kept in a cupboard in the corner of the room.
"First of all, shut up. Second of all, we're playing Monopoly."
Spencer raised his eyebrows as she came back to the table, Monopoly in hand. "The last time we played Monopoly, we played until three in the morning. And we started at four in the afternoon."
"Only because Morgan and Garcia were playing with us," she pointed out as she lifted the top off and began to set up the board while Spencer took the money out. "Half that time was them just flirting."
He shrugged, beginning to deal the money out as Charlie gathered and organized the two sets of cards. "True."
Once everything had been set up and the money had been dealt, Charlie grabbed the dog token for herself before gesturing towards the rest.
"I'll take the racecar," Spencer decided, and he gave her a sly grin as she placed the dog and racecar at Go. "And, hey, to give you a headstart, I'll let you go first."
"Oh, you're such a gentleman," she scoffed before picking up the two dice and rolling. She got a four and one, and so she moved her dog five spaces, landing on Reading Railroad.
"Are you gonna buy it?" he asked with raised eyebrows.
She pursed her lips. "Yeah."
Charlie handed him two hundred dollars, and he gave her a small red house and the property card in return, which she placed on top of the property.
Spencer rolled a three and a six, causing him to land on Connecticut Avenue, and he paid the hundred and twenty dollars for the property.
And, just her luck, Charlie rolled a two and a two, forcing her to stay on Connecticut Avenue.
"Oh, hey," Spencer said lightly, "I think you owe someone money."
Grudgingly, she handed over the rent money, ignoring the smug look on his face as she pushed the dice toward him.
"Just go, you loser."
Spencer chuckled before rolling a six and a two, and he moved his racecar all the way to a Community Chest place.
"Mind grabbing it for me?" he asked as Charlie huffed again. "You're closer."
Charlie nodded and picked up the top card. It read: 'You have won second prize in a beauty contest. Collect $10.'
But, of course, she wasn't about to have him win again (though, this card wasn't all too significant towards his chances).
"What does it say?"
"It says," she started before clearing her throat for extra effect: "'You have won a kiss from your beautiful, amazing, incredible girlfriend, Charlie.'"
