Today was the day I had planned to let my friends come over, except they wanted me to meet someone. Yuri, my best friend, didn't tell me anything about this person so I guess it would be a surprise. As I was sitting alone watching TV, my phone rang. I turned down the TV and picked up my phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey sunny!" Yuri answered.

"Oh, hey yuri!" I responded.

"Me and the guys will be there in a few minutes, alright?"

"Alright, who am I meeting by the way?"

"Don't worry. He's very nice, that's all you need to know."

He? Was she already trying to get me with someone new right after I had just recently got out of a toxic relationship?

"Oh. Alright." I mumbled.

"Don't be scared or anything, he's a very nice guy don't worry. I'll see you soon, bye!"

Yuri hung up before I could respond. I got up and cleaning around the house a bit more before they showed up. I set up snacks, water, and also wine on the kitchen counter. I checked in a big tall mirror to make sure I looked good before they saw me. I had a nice outfit, nice hair and jewelry, and nice makeup. I felt very confident and powerful looking at myself. Yuri finally pulled up after a few minutes. I went outside with a smile as they all got out.
