Grace's POV

After I finished freshening up for dinner I made my way over to one of siblings rooms in which the door was open. All of the siblings had gathered in this room and where talking amongst each other. Lucy was the first to notice my presence.

"Grace!" she shouted excited to see me.

"Hello again, little one." I said as I picked her up on my back.

I looked over to Peter who was smiling at my interaction with his youngest sibling. "Come on Lu, get down before you hurt Grace." he said in a brotherly way.

"I'm more than capably of carrying her thank you very much." I say as I start playfully running with her on my back.

This earns giggles from Lucy. Before I know what happened Peter grabbed Lucy from behind me and set her down. Lucy of course protest this by wiggling in her brother grasp till he set her down. The room then became silent which was making things have awkward tension.

"Lu, come here and let us finish getting ready." Susan said with her hand extended.

I sat on one of the chairs within the room waiting for them to finish so I could lead them all down to the dinning room. I started spacing out and thinking to myself, 'What would it be like with siblings of my own?" It sounds most wonderful. Having someone to talk to about things I don't want to bring up to the Professor or Mrs. Macready.

"Alright, I believe we're all set for dinner." Peter says which brings me out of my own thought.

"Yes, right this way everyone." I say as I stand from my chair.

The siblings fall in line Peter standing a little closer to me than everyone else. I can tell he wants to talk to me about something but he resists. It must be something he doesn't wish to share in front of his siblings. As we entered the dinning room I noticed we made it just as Mrs. Macready was beginning to bring the food out.

"Hello children, please feel free to sit anywhere at the table. The Professor had something come up so he won't be joining us this evening." she says while bringing out bread.

I sit in my usual seat beside the head of the table where the Professor usually sits. Peter is quick to claim the seat beside me opposite of where the Professor sits. The other siblings take seats. Lucy across from me with Susan to her right. Edmund to the right of Susan. As Mrs. Macready brings the rest of the food out she takes the other side of the table across from the Professors usual seat. We all quietly eat our food with small talk here and there. I noticed Edmund brought up the topic of the war but I was far to spaced out to participate in the conversation.

Peter took notice of my quietness. "What are you deep in though about?" he asks me.

I look up from my plate, "Nothing much, just thinking about where I left off in the book I was reading this morning."

He nods, "Do you mind if we talk in a more private area after dinner?" I smile,

"Of course." My response earns me a smile from him as well.

All of us continue talking amongst each other till we are finished. "Off to bed you all go now. I expect quietness at an hour such as this. It is what is best for the Professor after all." Mrs. Macready says as she starts picking up the table.

We all head to our rooms with Peter and I at the back of the bunch. I can hear Lucy yawning and Susan saying something about if Lucy was staying in Susan's room tonight. I open my door and go to close it forgetting I told the oldest Pevensie we could talk privately after dinner.

"My apologize, I seemed to have forgotten you wanted to talk." I say nervously.

He laughs and comes in. I close the door not wanting to have any interruptions for whatever Peter wished to talk to me about.

I turned around and see that Peter has made himself comfortable by taking his shoes off and sitting cross-legged on my bed. I make my way and do the same thing as he has. I lean on my head board with my eyes closed and wait for him to start talking. I open my eyes and I see him watching me. He turned away quickly as if he was trying to make sure I didn't notice him watching me.

"So what do you usual spend your free time doing?" he casual says.

I can tell how nervous he is to be around me which for some reason gives me confidence.

"Why do you want to know?" I say with a cocky smile on my face.

He turns to me, "I just want to get to know you. Since my siblings and I will be staying here for who knows how long I figured it would be best for us to be friends." he says with a almost questioning tone in his voice.

"Well I love spending time outside whether it be on a sunny day or staring at the stars. I typically usually have a book at hand since I adore reading almost anything. I especially love a good adventure with a bit of fantasy. Makes me feel as though I'm part of a different world." I say smiling at how a book can make me feel.

He stares at me in awe almost as if he is waiting for me to continue. He starts talking about the different things he's into and I jut get lost in his angelic voice.

"Hello? Grace? Are you even paying attention to what I'm saying?" he says while waving a hand in my face. I blink and turn to look at him while making a 'Hmm' sound. He laughs at my reaction.

"I was saying how pretty you look." he speaks up.

I blush and go wide-eyed at this. He gentle laughs once again.

"Thank you, you're not to bad yourself." I say which makes my cheeks blush even harder.

He just looks at me, watching me, almost studying me. I clear my throat due to my nerves. This wakes him up from whatever trance I somehow put him in. He looks over at my grandfather clock that I love.

"Look at the time. Seems our conversation lasted longer than intended. I best be off so Mrs. Macready doesn't get the wrong idea." he says with a wink.

I blush and shake my head indicating he is write on what he said. We both stand and start heading towards the door.

"Thank you for talking with me I had a wonderful time. Perhaps tomorrow maybe we can enjoy the sun on a blanket outside." Peter says.

I look at him, "That sounds wonderful." He smiles.

"Goodnight Peter." He catches me off guard by pulling me in for a hug.

"Goodnight Grace, and sweet dreams." he says against my shoulder.

I smile and enjoy the lovely scent of pine and honey once more. He pulls away and makes his way to his room which happens to be across from mine. He waves as he closes his door and I mirror his movements. I make my way back towards my bed smiling like a child. I get ready for sleep and lay down. I find it hard to sleep for I am way to excited for the events that are to come tomorrow.
