One week, there was one week to adjust. One week too little. Thinking about it now, no amount of time would be enough. People in their situation don't just adjust to these things. The only thing they got used to was the chore schedule.

"Hey we're getting some students from a transfer program today."
"Oh really? From where"
"Zombie central"
"You can just say Korea, it was only one city and i doubt they're from there"
"Look im just saying, a zombie breakout is a zombie breakout doesn't matter the size"
"Shut up, do you know any of their names?"
"Not really, i saw them getting a tour and asked a teacher about it, while i did hear some names. I know im gonna butcher them horribly"
"Mmm fair, i guess we'll find out eventually"

"seven, three girls four guys. They're all pretty good looking."
"Ohhh, well i hope they're nice. Maybe some new friends."
"They look kinda mean, like when the teacher was asking them questions they just stayed quiet. Mrs. fredrick said that they "have their reasons" whatever that means"
"They might not be fluent, wait till when you meet them to call them mean"

THAT MORNING
Onjo was up first, she knows that the others can get up for school. Well, they used to. She doesn't know how this whole thing affected their schedule. But if they're not up by 7:20 she's just gonna have to wake them up. Cheongsan was up shortly after her, hes always gotten up around the same time to beat her when racing to school. After that everyone else luckily got up. Ha-ri and mi-jin are going to a college so they don't need to be up as early. But they are, they're the only ones with driver's licenses. So they're driving everyone to school.
"I barely slept honestly"
"Same, im really nervous for today"
"Im sure we'll be okay, not like we're unaccustomed to high school. Just new people"
Suhyeok knew it wasn't just new people even though he said it. He knows that its new city, country, culture, new everything. But what other options does he have, comfort is what his friends need. Maybe he want some comfort too but right now he's more worried for his friends.
Thats Suhyeoks downfall, he cares so much about others that he forgets that he's a person too. He needs care and kindness too.
"It doesn't matter right now, everyone go do your thing that we're done breakfast" Onjos keeping everyone on task.

Everyone got their phones, books, backpacks, food, money, and any other essentials. Some taking longer than others. But they were all ready in time.
