It was quite foolish really. There is no reason for her to be driving out at this time of night to visit a man (well boy really if his voice was to go off anything). Not to mention this person would most likely get her into trouble. April had a nice, easy-going life that she couldn't complain about. Being practically adopted by Mr. K, a well-known gang leader, someone you shouldn't mess around with, gave her some pretty nice perks. She could go on and on about how she enjoys the endless attention and gifts but one of her favorite things was finding solace and genuine comfort and family in the man and many of the other members. That's why a part of her felt bad about being so secretive about this. Marty wasn't a bad guy (to her) but everyone in CG seemed to hate him to the point they want him dead. Although April doesn't fully understand why she understands enough to not get involved with him often and out in the open. Honestly, she wasn't even going to see him tonight, she was a busy woman with busy woman things to take care of. However, the convo she had with him on the phone earlier changed her mind.

"Hello, Lavendah!" Was the first thing April when she answered the phone, speaking in the usual sweet accent.
"Wha..Hey it's your girl Ap...Why are you calling so late?" April glanced at the time on her phone. 11:45. She was just about to go to bed after finishing up lyric rough drafts. Though unexpectant she wasn't disappointed with his call, it has been a while.
"Well, it's been a few weeks since we last spoke..." He started, almost as if he read her mind. "Ya know I've been busy with gang shit being pretty much the leader around here." He continued. April could only give a soft "uh-huh" while nodding her head (not like he could see her do so). "But that's beside the point." Marty seemed to have a sarcastic yet peppy drawl despite it being so late as if he was excited about something.
"And the point is...?" April said with faux annoyance.
"Ah well..." The bravado he had earlier seemed to air out as he spoke. "Last time we spoke you mentioned...well you know how I wanted to or well decided-or I had decided that I wanted to call you a lily or lilac-"
"Yes, a lily what about it." April could feel her mood drop, she wasn't one for rejection and being demoted, despite how cute the nickname was, 'lily' was not going to do it for her.
"Well now that your 'Lavendah' again I thought maybe I could give you...a gift." His voice softens at the end, and it was now silent. April was taken aback, Marty wasn't the gifting type (unless you count his presence and the way he fawns over her a gift). He certainly has been stingy with giving her money. But who was she to deny a rare gift!
"Oh but it's not money..."
"Oh" Despite being slightly disappointed she was still curious, it's not like all her gifts had to be money she would happily accept designer brand accessories and toiletries. "Well do you want to deliver it or...?"
"Well, the thing is you need to come to me." Marty replied, his earlier excitement seeping back in. April wasn't a fan of how much effort she had to put in to even get this gift...but a part of her was brimming with curiosity.
"Okay...fine. I'm guessing I should meet you at the gas station?" April asked, receiving a curt 'mmhmm' from the other.
"Fine, but this gift better be worth it, I'm not in the mood to exit my apartment and be confronted by any of my boys...I'm bad at lying..."
"That's why you're my favorite CG member!"
"Marty!"
"I'm joking, I worked hard on this gift...also you might be happy to hear that it was a bit expensive." She could hear him smile over the phone, and she couldn't help but smile herself.
