*The next morning*

I was woken up by my alarm clock and guess what's the alarm clock... ofc it's Gracy. She started to lick my face.

"Yooo I'm up! Stoppp!"

I looked at the clock and it was 06:57am.

"Yaa I had 3 more minutes to sleep! Tsk."

I got up and went in the bathroom. Brushed my teeth with half-opened eyes, I washed my face and suddenly saw his face. I shook my head and proceeded to take a bath. After this took my breakfast and fed the doggo. I dressed up and took my grey suit coat.

"Be a good girl Grace. I'll be home around 8 in the afternoon. If you need more food, pull the rope here. You see this. Pull it and Mrs Johnson will come up. Bye babyy. See you tonight." I said. She barked. I looked at the clock and it was showing 07:54am.

"Yesss I'll bring your treat. I got to go now." I took my belongings and closed the door.

I went to the nearby bookstore to print the documents I was typing yesterday.

"Hello Miss Pretty Detec-"

"Don't start again Jackson." I said without even looking at the guy who always flirts with me. (And yes it's THE JACKSON that you're thinking.)

"Hello Vexana. Still pretty as usual. How are you?" I smiled at the girl.

"Ey Aesha stop! Well anyway all good here. What about you?"

"Pretty much good."

"Good to hear and the Queen?"

"Ah like everyday. Always energetic. She woke me up 3 minutes before the alarm! God!"

"Aww poor you." She said.

"So what brings our usual detective here today? Another spoon feeding Sunday?" She added.

"Eyy I told you to not call me that in public. Well yesss. I wanna rip them off." I sighed.

"Here. Print these for me. 5 copy of each pages and recto verso in color." I added.

"Roger boss!"

"So Aesh are you free tonight?" Jackson asked.

"No Jackson. Another time."

"Oh come onnn. It's always the same thing with you. It's always another time. When will this another time come?"

"Well it will come another time." I said. I then got a phone call.

Me: yes hello.

???: Detective Kim, where are you? We have an emergency case. We need you right now.

Me: Okayy. I'm near. I'm on my way. I'll be there in 10 minutes.

???: OK Detective Kim.

Me: *hangs up*

"Here you go Aesh! Oh? What happened? Is everything ok?" Vexana handed me the papers.

"I got an emergency.. I got to go real quick. Do you mind if I give you the money tonight?" I quickly put the papers in my bag.

"Don't worry you can give it tomorrow. Be careful and reach safe." She said.

"Thanks Vex!" I rushed out.

"Hey Aesha do you mind if I give you a ride?" I heard Jackson's voice fade as I made my way to the office. I started to run.
