Excerpt:
There was once a country in war time. Having lost their homes and livelihood; many people camped on the streets. Then they rowed boats to rescue people across the sea. A woman grabbed her baby, rushed towards the piers, and threw herself into the cramped boat.
Sometime after the boat veered into the sea, the woman looked down into her arm and found out that all along, she was holding a pillow; she'd left her baby behind. The woman laughed, crooning and rocking her body. She sang softly to the pillow

Evelyn softly pat the back of the sleeping boy, his soft blond hair falling on his face like angel kisses. Her eyes widened in sudden realisation, and she looked around the room and back at the sleeping child in the big blue room. 'This is my child', she murmured to no one. 'Mrs Dennis stole my child!'.
