Currently Team USA soccer was in Miami preparing for a world cup qualifier match against Trinidad and Tobago. Among them was one of the youngest players on the team Y/n Jackson at 18 years old. The stakes rested high on this game as whoever won was going to the world cup.

Meanwhile Y/n was on the plane as he was looking off into space thinking about the upcoming match.

" Y/n you still with us" the voice said as a hand waved infront of him of his teammates Christan Pulisic.

Y/n:" Oh yea I'm good" he said with a laugh.

Christan:" Good you remember our plan if they press" he said as Y/n noodded.

Y/n:" We gotta look for outlets and be aggressive" he said as he watched the film and understood the pressure on the game.

After the 3 hour flight from Miami to the tropical island the team landed. They still had around 6 hours before the game. Being 18 Y/n wanted to explore the island a little but he still wanted to show his maturity to his teammates.

The team chose to head to the stadium to practice on their game plan and see if any changes need to be made. As this game Y/n would be striker for the first time for Team USA.

Timeskip

1 hour before the game

Y/n sat in the locker room listening to Kendrick Lamar as he was locking in before the game. That was when his teammate Weston McKinnie tapped him on his shoulder.

Weston:" It's go time" he said as Y/n took off his headphones and headed out with his team to the pitch.

The team took their positions on the feild as they ball was kicked the team began to move on the pitch as the first 10 minutes were uneventful. However in the 17th minute Trindad and Tobago got a good run that resulted in a goal as they were know down 1-0.

However the team didn't seemed to fazed by this. As both teams had talent but the USA need a answer and one fast.

Y/n got the ball in open space and began pushing up field into the opposition half. Trying to make a move past the defender infront of him he was tripped up as it was a clear foul that was not called they kept playing. Tinidad they drove down on the counter attack and scored another goal in the 37th minute. USA went in to the half down 2-0

Team USA wasn't done however as 350 millon Americans pride, joy and admiration rested on their shoulders. Coming out of half the USA quickly answered with a Christan Pulsic goal. However the team still couldn't get any shots to fall that was until a spark hit. In the 88 minute the team was driving down as Y/n got the ball in the box and then was tripped up causing a foul and a penalty kick. This was their final chance

Announcer:" All the USA needs is a draw to send them to the World Cup in Russia. Y/n Jackson the future of this american team will take the PK"

Probably the biggest moment of Y/n carrer so far. He took deep breaths as he lined up to take the penalty shot.

Announcer:" Jackson lines up, he runs up shoots SAVED!!"

Y/n had gotten his shot saved again only this was worse. As he fell to the ground experiencing every emotion, but most of all letting his country down. The tears started to flow as the final whistle was blown. Weston McKennie came up and hugged him as both men we're disappointed.
