"And this is my school, I'm on my last year!"

« It sucks, do you want us to see each other?

I'm in town with him and Marshall.

OH FUCK, I'M OMW. »

"My best friend wants to come, do you mind?"

"Yes, I do! She always annoys me and insults me by saying I'm a snot!"

"She means it in a kind way, snot."

"Stop it!"

I turn my head to Reid who's walking beside me, hands in his pockets.

"You?"

"No, it's fine."

"No, you don't mind?"

He nods. I recognize Judy down the street running toward us, looking more like a crazy woman than my best friend.

"Snot!"

"No, not her..."

He runs to hide behind Reid's legs. She slows down and alternates her gaze between him and me. She smiles at me, I immediately understand her look.

She likes him.

"Hi, I'm Judy. You must be the soldier."

"Reid."

"Angel's told me a lot about you."

"Has she?"

"She's lying."

"Can we talk seriously?"

"Sure."

"Are you going to be here long? I mean, in Lancaster County, it's a bit of a backwater."

Note to self : I'll thank Ju' later for starting the conversation.

"It all depends on how I recover."

"Oh shit, I didn't see that."

"Swear words!"

"Shut up and go for a ride on your bike."

He sticks out his tongue in response.

"Will you go back to the army if you heal well?"

I look at him, curious about his answer.

"I'd like to, but they're trying to make me understand that it's not going to be possible."

"Ouch. And how old are you?"

"24."

"It's fine, it's legal."

"Judy!"

"I mean, it's legal to hang out with him. What are you thinking, you naughty girl..."
