((Song: interlude IV (Showtime) by Zach Callison and Grace Rolek))

"We're finally free, welcome home." he said. I look at him and start walking away until he grabbed my hand.

"It's just you and me now, standing alone." He said dragging me back to the blank panel with the boy sitting in a pool of his own blood.

"The world is ours." He said.

"No it isn't!"

"Get in the car." He snapped.

"This isn't finished..." I said.

"What?" He asked. I hated his guts. He let the kid die. He helped the kid die. He could have stopped this.

"Even though the kid's dead, I'm still seeing red!" I yelled looking at the blood pooling around the body.

"I'm just a shell of his form that his innocence shed." I said motioning to myself. He looked away and sighed.

"He lived a good life and he gave it to you." He said. This just angered me more. Someone dies and he just dismisses it.

"Oh is that right? You know it's not true!" I yelled, blinded by anger.

"Look at him showered in blood and flowers." I said making the screen go to the future and show his funeral.

"Now look in my eyes, she still holds the power. After years and tears of confronting his fears, he's on his record for the world to hear." I said looking away and the floating screen in front of us turned black. He tried to speak but I spoke before him.

"And they'll all think that is was suicide but, Chase, I know it was you inside!" I yelled knowing he helped. He stepped back knowing I knew.

"I saved him, I held him 'till the moment he died!" He tried lying but I wasn't having it.

"You choked him out of his goddamn mind! Promised the world to him and goddamn lie!" I yelled, grabbing the collar of his shirt.

"What do you want from me?!" he yelled. I looked at him. Staring into his soul.

"Oh look outside yourself!" I yelled, annoyed at him.

"I won't help you take her down." He said. Now knowing what I wanted.

"Fine! I'll do it by myself!" I yelled letting him go as he fell to the floor of the void.

"You don't need it!" He yelled, grabbing my arm.

"Oh I know that I need it." I said, yanking my arm away from his grasp.

"She's been gone for years, I know you can beat it." He said, trying to help me but I ignored his warnings.

"No look in the mirror, you know we both fear her, we're one in the same, we're afraid to be near her!" I yelled knowing he lied about not being afraid of her. He tried but failed.

"We utter the name, with our spirits defeated, but you let me kill him! You're worse than Jack!" I yelled.

"I told you to end it, it was all for the best." He said. I lifted my hand to the slit on my neck, remembering my death.

"So I have you to blame for the pain in my chest?" I said remembering the people who cared.

"No!"

"If you won't go, I will. To avenge the lost soul I killed!" I yelled. I hated him for what I did. I hated myself for it too.

"You're filling your heart up with hate. All the same-"

"No!"

"As the kid-"

"No!"

"That you just left-"

"No!"

"Face down on the-"

"No!"

"Pavment!" He yelled finally finishing his sentence.

"Save it!" I yelled.

"It's time I made a statement, a pity the city has ruined us. We could've fooled hollywood, just the two of us, but Jake has made a fool of us." I said.

"Your loss." He said.

"One, two, three, four. Is this what love is really for?! Is this what I get for being yours?! The kid in front of me in blood and gore?!" I yelled. He tried to speak but I interrupted him.

"Five, six, seven, eight. Years put to waste for all I hate. They'll all know Jack's fate. That show's about to start, don't be late." I said walking away.
