Zoe Klein quickly and quietly walked down the stairs of her house with her cat Chewie following her. Chewie ran straight by her into the kitchen meowing at his empty food bowl. "Okay, okay." Zoe whispers to him rushing over.
She releases a breath not seeing her father on the couch as she feeds her cat. "Pour me a cup of coffee." Her father calls down the stairs. "And he's up." She mutters, grabbing two coffee mugs.
"Why are you even up so early?" Frank Klein asks, rushing into the kitchen. "School. It starts today. My sophomore year." She sighs as she grabs her fathers wrist and helps him with his watch.
"I have a meeting today and then I'm leaving for San Francisco tonight." Frank tells her as the two Kleins move around each other. "I'll see you when I see you." Zoe says scratching the top of Chewie's head and grabbing her coffee to go.
She easily rushes out of the house and into Lydia Martin's car. "Nice makeup." Lydia says, making Zoe roll her eyes and smooth her coverup on her cheek.
Both girls arrive at school and as soon as they step out all eyes are on them. "Lyds?" Zoe called out over the car. "It's fine, Zoe." Lydia tells her calmly as the rest of their so called friends join them.
"Can we go?" Zoe whispers to Lydia and the strawberry blonde nods linking her arms with the girl.
"This is the best thing to happen in Beacon Hills since the birth of Zoe Klein and Lydia Martin. Hi Lydia, you -" Both girls ending up walking past them, "Like you're going to ignore me." Stiles calls out.
Scott McCall ignores Stiles as his eyes linger on Zoe Klein. She looks behind her and Lydia making eye contact with Scott. His crush on her started last year when the two accidentally ran into each other in the hallway. He remembers the conversation clearly where Zoe even asked for his name but nothing ever came of it.
"Scott? Scott!" Stiles calls out, snapping his fingers in front of his friend's face. "Just talk to her." Stiles says causing Scott to scoff. "I don't think she'll ever talk to me. The only reason she knows your name is because your dads are friends."
"She called me stool one day."
"I'll see you at lunch." Lydia says linking their pinkies together as she and Zoe split for classes. Zoe nervously walked into her first period trying to find an empty seat and seeing an empty one in the back behind two boys.
She easily grabs the seat behind the one with longer hair. "You're the one always talking to my friend, right?" She asks the two boys causing them to glance back. "Are you, are you talking to us?" Stiles questions.
Zoe nods slowly, confused. "You're Noah Stilinski's son, right? He was over for a baseball game a few nights ago." Zoe said, "I'm not getting confused. Am I?"
"No, you're right." Stiles said, "It's Stiles by the way." Zoe nodded and Stiles could tell that Zoe was getting bored in the conversation. "And this is Scott."
