It was a Thursday noon, half of the day spent looking at "music festival lookbooks" and searching for good outfits to wear. It happens rarely, so we might as well spoil ourselves and buy a ton of clothes.
It's been a week after the day that scarlett bought the tickets for both of us and we got all hyped up about everything that was about to happen next week. We get to see our favourite bands and sing along with their songs.
I was interrupted by my cellphone's ringtone. I grabbed my phone across the table and checked the caller ID. seeing it was scarlett who was calling me,
I stared at my phone screen waiting for the phone to shut up. on the fourth ring, I decided to pick up. (why the hell would she call me when she's literally inside her room.)
"What do you want?" I whined into the phone.
"Well, I'm sorry for interrupting whatever you're doing." Scarlett said, apologetically."Anyways, I was thinking if you wanted to go downtown and pick up some shit for the festival."
"I was literally just thinking about doing that." I told her. Things like this don't happen very often.
The phone call ended immediately and we got ready. We drove outside of Downtown Los Angeles to find the clothes we wanted.
We got to the retail mall a few minutes later and decided to walk around since there were a lot of retail shops to look at.
After 4 hours of looking we finally found the perfect outfit. We then decided to stop by Auntie Anne's Pretzel to get pretzels.
"Jesus Christ," I sighed, sitting down next to her and dropping all the paper bags filled with clothes.
"We must have burnt a lot of calories after that." I half chuckled.
"I'm kinda happy that I finally made up my mind." She said, taking a bite out of her pretzel. "I didn't really know what to get."
I smiled at her, savoring the moment that was happening right now. One of my life goals is complete.
I got a white tie back dress from American Apparel and a pair of Lace up gladiator sandals. Meanwhile, Scarlett got a sequined crop top from Topshop and a tennis skirt and knee socks from American Apparel.
Money didn't matter to us right now mainly because our parents still supported us with weekly allowances. Plus, Scar and I never really spend much until we actually needed to.
And this was an exemption. We needed to dress and impress if we wanted to get "cute" boys to notice us.
Scarlett never really got boys to ask her out a lot and that didn't really make sense to me. She was beautiful, her straight black hair laid down beautifully till her chest, and her eyes is so mesmerizing. Boys, they never really see true beauty.
On the other hand, I had my fair amount of guys although it never lasted long. They never really satisfied my needs and vice versa. I was never really special when it comes to how I look. My wavy chocolate brown hair flowed until my lower chest, I was 5'7 and my eyes we're a dull shade of brown. But I was never really insecure about how I look.

Scarlett and I we're basically counting the days till the festival. Its been days since we got our cute clothes we needed. And before we know it 1 more night till the festival.Tomorrow is the day we're going to see our favourite bands.
