[Dominic POV]

"Hmm…What an interesting, and oddly fascinating, girl…"

I murmured under my breath as I watched the young woman whose facial features seemed oddly familiar leave with her friend through the doors of the bakery I had just entered mere moments ago, the barest hint of a smirk pulling at the corners of my lips as I watched her friend shoot one well thought-out glare in my direction, the beginnings of an angered expression crossing her face as she half helped, half forced the young woman into the passenger seat of their automatic vehicle.

I raised my hand to wave goodbye to them, I could be a pleasant person when I wanted to be, but the woman seemed less then interested in returning my act of friendly pleasantness as she rolled her eyes before hopping in the driver's seat and pulling out of the parallel parking spot she had somehow managed to pull their car into.

I didn't care what that friend of hers thought but that woman….She seemed intriguing enough.

Sure, she looked a tad bit out of sorts, to put it one way, as her clothes were strangely waterlogged but her overall appearance was dry, bright hazel eyes glittering with curiosity as the peak of a knowing smile appeared upon her pale pink lips.

She was gorgeous even in the frazzled state of mind that she appeared to be in, sweeping caramel brown hair that lightly crested her shoulders in smooth, albeit slightly frizzy, waves caused by the humidity residing within the atmosphere.

She was young too, a bit younger then myself but not so young that she didn't know how to take care of herself in this world.

How to handle a situation if one should arise abruptly.

It was a strange thought to have about somebody that I've only met once but strange thoughts were my specialty after all, and considering all that has happened to me in this lifetime, it would be safe to say that having pestering thoughts about a young, mysterious woman was the least of my concerns.

No, I had larger worries to be aware of then a simple woman whose features felt so familiar, her voice sounding so angelic, that I could memorize her like she was part of me.

A part of me...I like that thought...

Shaking off the rather maddening thoughts ruminating throughout my mind, I brushed my hands down the front of my clothes and flashed a friendlier smile to the woman working behind the counter of the bakery as I requested for the items I had previously ordered just moments after the two young women left the store to be packaged up for takeout purposes.

I did not exactly have much time to spare at the moment, my current consuming task for the day consisting of setting up a very important appointment to accomplish a certain set of instructions that would need to be followed in a certain timely manner if I wanted to avoid severe public backlash.

In short and slightly simpler terms....I was going to need to debrief my team on how to successfully rob a bank that has been greedily pulling more than their fair share of stocks from the elusive market and was showing rapid signs of wanting to back out of our ironclad contract.

If they, these bankers I was referring to here, so much as dared to breach it, they knew there would be hell to pay but they also weren't dumb enough to breach the contract so soon when it was supposed to be renewed.

Or at least, I assumed them to be of some level of intelligence until I had been informed about the shared stocks they had been taking advantage of.

And now?

Now, I assumed these bankers to be about as smart as a group of persistent, bothersome pre-teen boys whose sole purpose was to play Pokemon Go and destroy countless relationships along the way.
